Well the red and white RCA cables are only used for 2 channels (left and right), this is why only two of them were working. Is there a setting on a menu on how the audio is transmitted (RCA, HDMI, optical)?

the PS3 doesnt have a COAX Digital Output...so you will have to get an Optical cable if you want surround sound.

Don't know your receiver, but should be close to mine...
three ways to get 5.1 optical ( TosLink fiber ) or Coax RCA to RCA or 5 seperate feeds from player to AMP Need to set AMP to select which input to use and what for IE: Optical 1 = DVD Need to set Source to output to either Optical or Coax some have really small switches on back by connectors, others software you should see light coming out of fiber if used are you trying to set up the panny or the PS3 ?? and yes the 605, 705, etc are plug and play thru HDMI Last edited by gearyt; 12-27-2007 at 04:56 PM. |
