I saw a cop in a beat up domestic pull over someone the other day. If that had been me, I would have called 911 and told them I was not pulling over until I got to a well inhabited area in 20 miles.

But for real, it is mostly crown vics. However over the last couple of years it has been changning.

Now it ranges from
Tahoe
Charger
Sheriff dept has a 2007ish Mustang
Some other type of dodge

Mostly Crown Vics, but there are also some sweet Dodge Chargers with the battering ram on the front.

Mostly Crown Vics, but some of the nearby townships have made the switch to Chargers. At least with the Crown Vics, I can spot them easily. Damn po-po and their upgrades.

That's the right thing to do anytime an unmarked car attempts to pull you over. A real officer will know what you are doing and follow you to an inhabited area.

Thanks Ricshoe! (Knock on wood) I haven't gotten a ticket in 10 years. These unmarked cop cars though make me nervous, and I really would not feel safe just pulling over for a car with flashing lights.

Well, I spotted three unmarked vehicles rolling on the highway in the past two days.

Chevy Tahoe: I spotted the white lights in the grille when I glanced at the side-view mirror, then I saw the light bar on the roof.
Chevy Impala: nothing new here. All white with consumer plates.
Chrysler Town and Country: Yup, a minivan.

It was dark purple and had tinted glass all around. If it wasn't for the flashing lights on the dashboard as it zipped by me this morning, I wouldn't have known. I have the licence plate memorized, just in case.

Sneaky bastiges.

As I'm reading the replies to the article, I can't help but wonder: besides the sale and distribution of narcotics, are there other crimes/offences under which local law enforcement officers are permitted to seize a criminal's personal possessions for their use?
