yeah but its different and easier for a good salesman to show and point out the differences between hidef and standard when a client is in store. like you said, when you mention blu ray people seem confused. in a 1 minute commercial the companies do not have the time to fully explain and are incapable to show the consumer the difference in products. they advertise last for those who know some about the subject or are already on board.

Good point. It just seems (to me) like getting peoples curiosity up would help out sales.
