If the scope screen material is preferred then I want to make sure I get it before it is discontinued. Also, it is cheaper than the one he recommended. Thanks in advance for the comments.

I can only speak to AT material and for that I have always read tilted is preferred for weaved material to help reduce moire, if the material you are using is not an AT weaved material I can't think of a reason to tilt... I'll leave it to more epxerienced people to say otherwise.
