Oh I love Casey and he has been one of my favorites from the jump and u are right about the popularity thing also. They need to new system next year with more of a percentage thing and also allowing the judges some intake on who stays or goes home also. Got Em!!

The point is to make sure my favorites are still doing good and to watch their performances. I don't have to listen to all of them because I already don't like their style, voice or whatever. What's the point of DVR if I shouldn't skip the bad parts? I've also skipped a vast majority of the guest singers like all those people that were previously on Idol as I don't care for them. If AI would bring back say... Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry... (Hmm wow that's a lot of "C"s in there - Casey should be added soon. :P ) you know someone who is actually good and made a name for themselves then I would stop skipping so much.

My wife does this. I don't watch with her all the time and just watch it later since she'll skip over contestants she doesn't like. I want to watch even the ones I don't like, and see the rag-fest after - I miss Simon in that respect. I guess I'm victim of the human condition that makes people want to see someone fail lol.

Casey is my favorite this season, as he's more than just a singer, but I'm also a musician so that probably makes me biased towards his musicianship. So while I may not agree that the save was wasted, Pia being voted off comes as a total shock. America is getting these votes really out of whack. Pia was pitch-perfect, and the best singer this year.

this is the first season i have watched past the auditions because i thought there was so much talent...now im just disgusted by what has happened tonight..pia is unreal when she sings but its obvious that this contest is controlled by dumbass teenage girls...do i believe she wasn't voted for because she was completely hot, yes!!!...a singing competition that in which the best singer doesn't win confirms this...she was incredibly good every time she sang....but not to worry..someone is going to make a fortune off her

They really have to think about revamping the voting system to hinge more heavily on the judges decision rather than just America.

Clearly this is becoming a popularity contest rather than a judge of talent. Pretty sad to see.

Pia is a good singer. However she is so one-dimensional. Week after week it's the same slow melodrama bs. Plus to be honest, I never found her genuine at all. I'm glad she's gone. I'm rooting for James.

Since they have the rule of one save, doesn't that tell America that they don't have faith in the people getting it right.

The point of a DVR is to skip commercials not the show that u recorded haha. Got Em!!

I been saying this and fully agree with u. They need to have the system with America's votes being a percentage or if anything use America's votes to form the bottom 3 and let the judges send the person home from the bottom 3. I think that would work.

On a sidenote Jacob is lucky he wasnt voted off for that silly comment he made. I was mad when he said that because some people are so anal and would take that as a direct insult. Glad he atleast made it through as he is the best or top couple for sure but then again so is Pia. Oh well. Got Em!!

Could not disagree more. Casey may be better than two of them still there (Haley, Stefano), but he is not the best on the show or even top 5 (imo) which means saving him is a waste. That save should have been held for someone like Pia or Scotty or maybe Lauren. There's always the results week and the judges assumed it was Casey this year...but it wasn't.

Last year they used the save on the correct person when they saved Big Mike as he was one of the best from last year (which admittedly isn't saying too much). Interestingly enough...he was saved during the Top Nine week.
