chicago_29 New Member Member since:Jan 2007	This isn't true...you do NOT need a receiver that has HDMI 1.3 with the PS3, but it will need HDMI. The PS3 decodes the new audio formats (Dolby Digital Plus, TrueHD, etc), and it can output them as PCM. As long as there is an HDMI connection you're fine.
