I hear Sunshine is the bomb and a must buy. Can't wait. Hopefully PS3 will be 1.1 as well by then.

Why would it not play. Adding in 1.1 profile extra "features" should not affect playabliity of the menu and main feature on a 1.0 profile player if it was authored correctly.

If some 1.1 Blu-rays do end up with playback dificulties, firmware updates can be created and released that would allow a 1.0 profile player to ignore the 1.1 features and playback the main feature and any other content that can be supported by the device.

Quite frankly, I don't give a crap about 1.1 as I don't even use the pip on HD DVD titlest that I own.

So what does it mean when I see only the Panasonic name at the end, as on DH3 or Prison Break, or only the Deluxe name, as on Mr. Brooks or DH4?
Interesting, my Die Hards haven't come yet, and I haven't stuck around for the authoring center logo on PB

Perhaps Deluxe is at capacity too, so they're using Panasonic as an overflow.

Either way, Panny are the only ones who can do PiP right now

Its not that I am worried about the movie playback I am just curious on how the special features would work actually. Just a curiosity.

It will grey out anything your player doesn't support

All the features are available as their own selection though, just not at the same time

I'm guessing the audio mixing demo might not be since that's 1.1 specific

Yeah I would be interested just to see maybe like a comparison video of the differences.

What differences?

There won't be a difference, PiP will be greyed out, and so probably will be the audio mixing demo option.

That's the only difference

I haven't yet watched DH1 and DH2 to see whose name comes up at the very end. On Prison Break, I am fairly certain that I have seen only Panasonic's name at the end of the first three discs (the only ones I've watched so far).

After the reports that Panasonic was using Silver Surfer as a demo at the BD event a few weeks ago, I guess I assumed that there was some sort of relationship between Panasonic and Fox.

Just remember that the european version is cropped at 1.85;1 and the US version is in the correct 2.35;1 ratio.
Fox did say earlier that this also should feature PIP and D-box,that's not on the UK one.

I just got my copy and popped it in for a quick look at the PIP feature. On my PS3, it worked like a charm. With the in-movie feature, it worked fine. There's a second extra where one can use PIP to manipulate the audio, but I didn't have time to try that one. I'll check out the other specs later.

woohoo, so I cracked and shelled out £23.99 for it, been waiting for it since I watched it in the Cinema when it was released here (several months before US release).
Quality assessment to come!
Unfortunately the UK release doesn't get BDJ enhancements, oh well.
