Thumbs down NOT what I anticipated, VERY disappointed

I had my mind set on the deluxe edition this coming Tuesday; now, I'm not so sure.
After sampling all of the tracks as well, of Linkin Park's forthcoming album A THOUSAND SUNS (just click on the " " icon next to each song to listen), I don't see them using any one of these tracks for the TRANSFORMERS 3 Soundtrack.

A THOUSAND SUNS sounds to me like a "slow" continuance of MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT. I'm predicting that they may create another "Original" track (similar to A New Divide) for the forthcoming soundtrack.

1. The Requiem
2. The Radiance
3. Burning in the Skies
4. Empty Spaces
5. When They Come For Me
6. Robot Boy
7. Jornada Del Muerto
8. Waiting For the End
9. Blackout
10. Wretches and Kings
11. Wisdom, Justice, and Love
12. Iridescent
13. Fallout
14. The Catalyst
15. The Messenger

This Album does feel like a "BIG LETDOWN" and I'm extremely disappointed. Not sure if they can recover from this release. I see Chester and Mike parting ways after a A THOUSAND SUNS Tour and continuing with follow-up albums from there respective "Side Projects" ( Dead By Sunrise & Fort Minor ) which released albums, I believe, FAR better than their lastest A THOUSAND SUNS

I'd like to see The Goo Goo dolls come back, enjoyed their song for the first film.

Holland Gotta hear this

I don't know if anyone here has ever listened to Mirage, by Armin van Buuren. It's epic and it may go well on Transformers 3, especially the rock part and the part before!

I like Armin van Buuren, but...

I'm not so sure if Diarmuid Quinn & Jeff Aldrich (Part 1 Producers) or Diarmuid Quinn (again) and Randy Spendlove (Part 2 Producers) would want to capture that type of sound, dispite whether either Warner Bros. or Reprise are the label for the next Soundtrack.

I believe they will continue where they left off with reappearances by Linkin Park, Green Day, Nickelback, etc... along with some newcomers to the soundtrack franchise.

I would LOVE to hear this song at the end of
TRANSFORMERS : DARK OF THE MOON
Hurricane - 30 Seconds To Mars

Lightbulb Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Some good choices there, I don't particularly agree with the Velvet Revolver song; its too fast, and I'm not keen on the 30 Seconds To Mars song either; I feel it was chosen for the piano intro similar to Linkin Park's: What I've Done (but not anywhere near as good). I think The Drowning Pool: Bodies would be an apt choice for a battle scene? I feel Hoobastank: Let It Out is also suitable for robots smashing each other to pieces.

LostProphets: Shinobi Vs. Dragon Ninja is also perfect for this film!

Iron Maiden's: The Trooper should be the song for when the matrix gets passed to Hot Rod (lets face it, it will happen).

I've also heard that You've Got The Touch (Transformers 1986 movie original theme) is being re-written by a heavy metal band. Anyone know who it is or have any updates?

(Other bands from the previous two soundtracks not listed in Poll: The All-American Rejects, Armor for Sleep, Cavo, Cheap Trick, The Frey, The Goo Goo Dolls, H.I.M., Hoobastank, Idiot Pilot, Julien-K, MuteMath, Staind, Smashing Pumpkins, Styles & Beyond, and Theory of a Deadman)

In 2007, TRANSFORMERS hit theaters without any commotion. In 2009, TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen had theoretically fell victim to the “Writers Strike,” accounting for a bad script, while watching an incredible display of bad acting, and in 2011, after two months into production, TRANSFORMERS 3 will have to fight off criticism to “Casting Changes” and rewrites to its script; Nevertheless, Michael Bay and Co. will yet again have to out-produce and out-direct themselves from another movie embarrassment or disaster. Either way, Hasbro, Paramount, Michael Bay, and Steven Spielberg can't make everyone happy at once. It will take several creative ideas to come together that will touch all generations.

There is no other official Soundtrack information at this time

LATEST : Linkin Park Single

The Catalyst (<--- just click to listen) by Linkin Park seems to be a LETDOWN for me and I'm left wondering... Has Linkin Park LOST that Rockin' / Rhythmic / Electric Sound and Collaboration Between Mike Shinoda & Chester Bennington? Sounds to me like Rick Rubin maybe TOO involved with the generation of their sound as compared to how Bob Rock was with Metallica, IMO.

If The Catalyst is any indication of what A THOUSAND SUNS will sound like, then, MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT was my last straw.

METEORA
(for me)
Will Forever Be LINKIN PARK

They already ripped off the name from Pink Floyd; might as well use some of the music from the album

Thumbs up Iridescent, Not Bad... Would have prefered a New Single instead

LATEST : Linkin Park Single

Iridescent(<--- just click to listen) by Linkin Park seems to be the "Fan Favorite"
during their latest concert shows, but for me, I haven't been a fan of "A
THOUSAND SUNS" to this day and I believe that "Blackout," or even "Robot
Boy" would have been better choices for the final installment of a
TRANSFORMERS sequel, or better yet, a completely new song... similar to
that of "New Divide," which I feel was a better afterthought for TF2 than
what Iridescent is for TF3.

I like Linkin Park from the very beginning and yes their music has changed a lot but I still like them. I really didn't like A Thousand Suns at first listen, but after hearing them a few times...it grew on me and I think it's pretty good. I still prefer Meteora Linkin Park album though. The new remixed Iridescent track for transformers is an interesting choice, but I wish they chose or made a new song that is a little more uptempo like New Divide though.
