I am pissed off that "The Chicago Code" will be no more. I was really into this show. I really love crime/drama/cop shows and it seem like they always get canned. I have no ida why. They are really well done shows. Trauma & Thrid Watch are 2 shows that should have never been cancled!!!

Because, after awhile, all these procedurals just seem like the same show over and over again, and people like me lose interest, don't watch anymore, and the ratings go down the tubes.

Hence, cancellation.

I'm glad Chuck's coming back. I wasn't all that optimistic with how low the ratings are but fortunately nearly all of NBC's programming is doing horrible so a show like Chuck keeps getting another shot. I'd guess they'll move it to a different time slot because it's low ratings don't make it a very good lead-in.

The thing is Chicago Code isn't a procedural. While it does have a weekly open-and-close investigation it also has a lot of running storylines. The fact that Code isn't a procedural may be hurting it, because procedural shows tend to do pretty well and it seems like viewers prefer shows that they can watch at any time and don't automatically fall behind if they miss an episode.

I'm from Chicago and ended up being disappointed in the show. It was honestly too generic to me. There are a lot of shows like it already, or at least close enough to it. It needed to be even more unique and play on Chicago more, because most shows are set elsewhere. I'm not surprised it got canceled though i did hope it would get renewed. I'm more upset about Human Target getting canceled, even if season 2 wasn't even close to season 1 in quality. I also liked the comedy 'Traffic Light.'

According to Deadline Breaking In might not be completely dead yet. Sony, which produces the show, is reportedly talking with Fox about ways to bring back the show next season. No announcement is expected before the upfronts next week and I wouldn't hold my breath for the show to return but apparently it's a possibility.
