If you are referring to the movie, I don't believe it was shot in 3D but as others, I believe it was a conversion. I could be wrong though.

It was shot 2D and converted to 3D as far as I remember.

I know a certain rival studio who suddenly noticed the popularity of Thor (as opposed to Fantastic Four)....

But that's the magic of editing...I'm sure Warner would like to apologize for the Teaser by now, but is the marketing switch too late to save the actual film, or did we just see the Wacky Youtube Trailer of "Green Lantern as a serious superhero movie"?

I hope the movie is as good as the trailers. My expectations for this film are very high now. I can potentially see the movie being as good as the first Iron Man. IMO it doesn't have to be as good as Thor because thus far this film looks better. Fingers crossed!

i still don't have high hopes for this movie, i want to like it but there's just something about it that leads me to believe this is not going to be good.

I am right there with you. I really want the film to be good and I want to like what I see, but it just does not impress me and some of it looks not so great. I really hope I am proven wrong for multiple reasons. The new trailer left me with a bad taste.

It is pretty obvious that Warner (DC Entertainment) has its work cut out for them on their live action movies. This movie has to succeed for them if they want to continue making Super Hero movies and find a complementor (or successor) to Batman. It is obvious they want the success that the Marvel movies have had and continue to show with the new movies. Also now the Marvel movie retreads (X-MEN Origins: First Class and The Incredible Spiderman) have new younger leads. If the new movies prove successful then their reign could continue for the current decade. Anyways, Green Lantern needs to be successful.

Look at the way the trailer is now.

A "mythological" landscape full of aliens who protect the universe.

They're trying to make it look really similar.
