What I don't understand, people are ALL shouting about how fantastic pcm is, but when your AV receiver does not accept hdmi, you cannot hear any pcm. And when you connect directly to your hdmi of the tv set, the only thing I can think of is optical connection to avr. Again, no pcm.

And if your AV receiver does accept hdmi (and pcm signal), but does not transmit 1080P but only 1080i like my Denon AVR 3806, how should you connect to your 1080p Television set or 1080p projector?
