Yeah, don't expect something horror/thriller-ish either. That trailer kinda sells it wrong. Just go in expecting a little cautionary internet tale.

Zodiac

Pretty great

I can't really post much since it's late and my battery on this laptop is running low, but I will say I loved pretty much everything, the pacing was just right, sometimes a little too fast. The tension built up in the murder scenes are pitch perfect, shame there were so few of them

Acting was good, direction was great

It's just an all-round great movie to me

Cellular - Very entertaining film. A good popcorn flick for sure. A little unbelievable but hey its Hollywood and thats why its also a good popcorn flick.

Film Rating - 3 1/2 stars (out of 5)

Hobo With a Shotgun - Man Quentin T. & R. Rodriguez are to much. I know this isnt either of there film but its associated with them and has their feel to it as it was a part of Grindhouse. These boys know the definition of over the top! I actually liked this film but it isnt for most. Rutger Hauer was very good and carried the film. The antagonist and his sons were pretty bad actors. The prostitute was pretty sexy. Very fun if u are a fan of these two guys films then u will like this one as well.

Film Rating - 3 1/2 stars (out of 5)

Empire - This was a good movie. Delilah Cotto is a fox and John L. is usually always pretty good. The film was better than I expected and I wouldnt mind having this on blu. Very nice movie involving drugs & money.

That reads like Netflix will be terminating their "Watch Instantly" Criterion, but not discontinue carrying discs. Did I read that wrong?

Kk. Hard to believe it's a legitimate documentary from what I recall from the trailer, but I'll go in with a blank slate.

Don't be too bummed. Some competition is healthy. I'm sick of Netflix doing whatever the hell they want. It's about time someone puts them in their place. Just saying...

Yeah, I still kinda got that feeling too, but as a movie, it's worth a watch.

Sweet! The title and trailer caught my attention, and I plan on blind-buying it. I expect true Oscar-worthy cinematic art out of this.

Seiously though, it looks bloody enjoyable.

The sequel the the Indiana Jones style movie Amour Of God, in this one Jackie goes looking for missing gold from WWII in the desert. Like the first movie it as a Indy flavor with adventure, treasures and bad guys. This movie ended up being release in the USA almost a decade later, right after Jackie's big break in the USA. It's hard to dislike a Jackie Chan movie, lot's of fight scenes, adventure and lots of pretty girls, they are like a James Bond movie but with more comedy

as Diesel did, with ranking it (right now at least) #1 for his 2007 list of favorites, it is also (i believe) my #1 as well that year, but that may change when i go through that list again. either way, a great film and a great blu. and a great film. love it

that may be the case. i know that wasn't the official statement released from Criterion about it so i don't know exactly what that article all entails

but that does seem to be the case. discs = yes. streaming = no.

very true. Netflix seems to think they can just run the show. good to see Hulu trying to stop the onslaught. and more options is always a positive for us consumers
