Go to a baseball game, even a minor league game would be better than going to see this movie.

Go to a race track, horses, dogs, cars, if there are any near you.

Go to a casino and play some blackjack (its not that expensive), or an irish pub in a fun city, if there are any within driving range.

To be honest though I may actually go to see this, for 1 reason alone, they opened an AMC dine-in movie theater near me. If I can eat buffalo wings and get drunk with my gf while watching this movie, thats the only way in hell Ill spend money on this. Otherwise, Id rather do any of those things above.

You see, I'm a 16 (nearly 17) year old British person, so it's hard for me to do most if not all the things on that list

Well you can drink so that is one if I'm not mistaking the legal drinking age in the UK.

Nope, drinking age is 18 over here, you're getting confused with the "legal" age

Oh, I didnt realize you were so young. Well now you have ideas for fun things to do when you get older, lol.

I loved the first hangover, but I cant stand what hollywood always does with sequels to great comedies. They think there is no other route other than making the exact same movie again. So annoying, could have been a great franchise of movies had they let these guys just make whatever they wanted.

Yeah the more I hear about this film the less I'm really getting into seeing it--honestly I knew the sequel wasn't going to be as good esp since it wasn't (and couldn't be) in Vegas, which was a real huge part of the appeal for me about Hangover in the first place. The trailers basically confirmed the carbon-copy of the original nature, but that wouldn't have killed it for me as long as it still had a vestige of funny.

Then I hear Ken Jeong and Zach Galifanakis have upped screen time, and those two definitely work in smaller doses for me--MUCH smaller doses--esp Jeong, I thought his schtick went too long and got very annoying in the first and he was only in three scenes. So I know this movie won't be as funny for me now. And now I read about the gratuitous shock thrown in
[Show spoiler]particularly the shemale/penis stuff
, and well...my expectations for this are even drastically lower than when it started out.

I also seen the pre-screening. Did these things bother you also?
[Show spoiler]it was Alan that ruffied them again. I thought for sure that it would be something different this time. Like phil, because he wanted a awesome bachelor party. Also the song, felt very forced and not funny at all, where the hell did the guitar come from?

Really!?! REALLY! Did they even attempt something new in the plot structure? (<--rhetorical, I know they did not)

Let me sum up my response upon seeing the film advertised on television: "They've called it 'Part II'!? Really!? How pretentious. It's The Hangover, not The Godfather."

Jeez. Now all movies that aren't Oscar worthy have to stick with numbers like 2, instead of using Part II?

Shame on me for not liking the application of 'Part II' to films I don't feel deserve it. I should remember not to voice my opinion in the future because I'm clearly a disturbed individual. Thank you for your knowledge.

You're more than welcome to voice your opinion. Too bad you don't like when other people refute it.

It depends on the manner in which they do so.

That's where you lost my respect for your opinion. Sorry, I was just responding to your arrogant "yes", with no support of your argument. I wasn't trying to derail the thread, but I wanted to know how it's pretentious for a comedy to use the Part II subtitle, and not a drama.
