Default Check this link out

http://www.breakitdownblog.com/resid...ay-profile-11/

This link says that the main soundtrack is DD in RE3, not until you activate pip mode that it changes to TrueHD for sound for the add on content.

Give Panasonic a ring @ 1-800-211-7262.

How's that Onkyo treating you?

Default Onkyo TX-SR705

Its my first Onkyo and I am so very pleased, I allmost bought the Onkyo TX-SR605 but decided to shell out the extra money for the 705.Great home theater experience using the Hdmi hookups with the 705.

Good deal, I've been an Onkyo owner/fan in the past and was curious about their latest.

I just called Panasonic and ultimately the Tech Support put me on hold and then hung up. I think they may be tired of all of the calls coming in for this problem today. I am calling back....

Yes, keep calling because it only helps us all in the long run. Panasonic always seems to be quick at firmware updates to correct issues so I'm sure it won't take them long.

Default on my PS3 with Onkyo?

Well, when i set my PS3 to bitstream while the RE:3 was playing, the sound was very low and the sign says Dolby Digital 5.1 but when i set it to LPCM while the movie is playing, the sound quality was very outstanding and the sign does says Dolby TruHD but on my reciever it is set to PCM and Direct. I really dont care if the light dont show for the fact you can hear it if it was set to LPCM on PS3 cause it doesnt sound the same when it was set to bitstream.

Ok, just got off the phone with Panasonic. They took my name, number, email, address, etc. and told me that my issue would be sent to engineering. The tech support guy told me that someone would call or email me next week with an update.

I am hopeful a quick firmware update will solve the problem.

Problem appears to be specific to the Panasonic.

Yep
I just tested with the Pioneer 95 and 94 receiver and no problems what so ever with the TrueHD.

So does sound to be specific to Panasonic.

Im having the same problem. All of my other movies be they reg DVD or Blu are playing just fine. Its just RE 1,2 and 3. Im using the PS3 and an
LG LHT764 (yeah its a cheaper unit) but up unitl now I have had no problems. I dont get the light that shows Dolby Digital. And when I listen its only my front two speakers that are playing anything at all. Any one find out anything new yet?
*
Also the PS3 UI shows that it is outputting at true HD 5.1 I switched to spanish which is just 5.1 not true HD and the problem persisted. Only the front two speakers played any sound.

Instead of a purple pill, you need to take a chill pill. You're an early adopter of an advancing format. Your "problem" is minor issue with the Panny player which is the reason firmware updates are continuously updated.

I'm thinking at this point with all the problems you are having you should return the Panny 30 and get another good Toshiba HD player!!

I was just frustrated because I was beating my self up over this thinking that it was my receiver.

Ah come on.. out of 440 titles, this one WORKS actually but not in Full TrueHD. It might be a problem with a PIP enable movies since there wasn't any available prior..

Wanna cry.. buy a Samsung.. RE3 work... well at least this one does..

Sweet! That sounds better and welcome to Blu. The Panny 30 is a great player and you will enjoy it.

I got the same problem when I watched this title last night using the Panny and my Denon 3808. Nothing to worry about though, I'm sure Panasonic will fix the issue soon. Even with this minor glitch I'm still a fan of the BD30.

Actually, what is more bothersome is that there were a couple of places in RE:Extinction where I got a minor freeze on the movie. Not long, just maybe 5 to 10 seconds or so, and then it continued on. This was without the PiP commentary enabled but I'm guessing that those sticky spots occurred at places where the PiP would have popped up if it was enabled. Did anybody else have this happen?
