All of thoes on the right side of the chart make BD players. There are more makers of BD players that are not on the list. Welcome.

Toshiba forgot to include those HD-DUD players by Onkyo? who made a few units & sold them all & stopped production. Those were definitely sold as stand alone units.

Trauma to the head from the WB announcement must have really knocked them senseless.

Not only were software sales a deciding factor in warners decision but also hardware. That chart right there is a serious blow to HD-DVD. They have continued to lose market share in the standalone department for months now. And now they are left with below 50% market share of HD players.

The news keeps getting better and better if you support Blu-ray.

Well, the split is about even then, when you take the combo out of the equation. So while blu-ray probably doesn't lead the market SI, they are outselling HD DVD standalones now.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but those are definitely not going to make any dent in the chart, and are hiding somewhere in "others". It's not even close to 1%, wasn't there a report that they shipped something like 15 to the entire country of Italy?

enjoy
