Yes. When you get that big, you can start seeing pixels. So I imagine it will utilize "line quadrupling" like the "line doubling" that used to be used in big sets.

I would expect to see front projectors with this resolution in the next year.

Damn, it's a shame Sony is canning the SXRD RPTVs. A 70-inch w/4K would be amazing.

playing a game on that would blow my mind.

playing metroid prime 3 would be like actually being samus...that is if sensor bar could even work on something so huge. but it would be so, so sweet if it could...

Maybe Panny has some kind of internal upscaling to go along with this baby for the time being. Not as good as true 4k, but should be an improvement over 1080p.
