Any chance of pics, please? I need to decide if I will be refusing my amazon delivery today or not.

This also means that Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2 will have thinner boxes as well because those will probably be two disc sets as well....
Not for me. I was really hoping that this was going to be a nice uniform set, which they had already ruined the uniformity somewhat by the time the second wave was released and now they are completely tossing it out the window.

Well, they can't make any cast member/crew do a commentary if it isn't in their contract. Besides, they may not have that much to say...the Brendan Fraser commentary for The Mummy is oh-so-dull.

That said, whether getting John Williams to create and record additional music is another matter. But the recording sessions for the first two movies already include a number of cues that weren't used in the final cuts, so Warner could have, at the very least, used some of those, under either Williams' or Columbus' supervision.
Nothing trickier in home video than music rights. Universal included music tracks in the first DVDs of The Mummy and Apollo 13, apparently much to the dismay of other parties. They were not included in the reissues. When you see a music track on a release like ALIEN, it's a *big* deal.

WB is the WORST for uniformity when releasing sets and things over a period of time. Hell, the packaging changed for my ER DVDs 3 or 4 times over the course of them releasing them... I never expected these to be any different.

I wouldn't say and inch or two; maybe half an inch.
The BB by my office only had HBP on "sale" ($34.95) and had OoTP for $44.95 so I didn't pick it up. Will try swinging by a target to get their ad and then PMing it @ bb (have rz certs).

None the less, I'll post a screenshot of HBP tonight when I get home.

HBP is showing as delivered, so I'll post pics of it when I get home.

I'll also check on the audio options for ya Donald. Expecting to be home in about 4 hours (assuming the sidetrip to a target and BB go smoothly).

Here they are:

As you can see, the new releases are just as tall as the previous one, but somewhat thinner.

As for languages, I have yet to open them and check it, but specs on the back list DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 in English, and Dolby Digital 5.1 in French (both Parisian & Dubbed in Quebec) and Spanish (both Castillian & Latin).

Thank you so much! If possible, after you open them, could you post some more pictures, of front art, and the UE together without the slip? Thanks so much, again!

hmmm... kinda surprised they switched from Dolby True HD on HBP... I wonder if that was done just for uniformity or if it had technical reasons... either way its lossless so I don't care just a bit of a curiosity...

If anyone who's been waiting for a series box set for this particular series wanted a reason to not wait, it's the "Creating the World of Harry Potter" documentaries.

I just finished Part 5, titled Evolution, and it's a revelation. It gets to the heart of why I think, when it's all said and done, that this is the best series in the history of cinema from a creative, artistic, and commercial standpoint. It's just unlike any other. The documentary highlights the beauty and the hard work of this story and this franchise.

I don't particular care what new things they might add in a series box set down the line. These Ultimate Editions have been worth it, totally, on two fronts; the "Creating the World of Harry Potter" documentary and the photo books that come with them.

On to Part 6 of the on going documentary...

I haven't explored all of the special features yet, but I did play the trailers because for some reason, I like them, lol!! The 5th HP trailers are done in 5.1 surround, but for HP 6, they are recorded in 2 channel stereo, idk why. I'd prefer 5.1, but I guess I can matrix it out from the receiver, lol!! It's not a big deal though, just wanted to point it out.

lol!! People need to understand, though we don't have extended versions of the films, we do have awesome special features that take us deeper into the stories of Harry Potter. These would be great for non-reader because it reveals a lot of what us readers know. Plus, these things are more durable than the regular BD versions of these films, meaning they will be protected longer than the standard versions. These things also look amazing when set on a shelf, which helps with presentation of ur overall Blu-ray collection. Overall, these Ultimate Editions rock!! Long Live Harry Potter!!
