Why do you think that Pierra made that comment? He's on the M$ payroll along with everyone else at G4 of course.

Yeah, I was happy to hear Olivia say she has a Bd player, but I was getting annoyed when she went back to her usual joke that "eventually you'll have some games for it."--meaning the PS3. But she can get away with anything in my eyes looking that good. Jesus Christ.

And Kevin's always been full of it, I wouldn't pay a dime for downloaded movies. Where the hell am I gonna put all the HD movies I buy? On a 360 hard drive? Cha, right.

I'm so glad I dumped that channel a few months back. I see nothing has changed over that time.

I'd say the only reason G4 is still kicking is due to M$ cash.

Ditto, did you guys notice at the end she asked why do you hate Sony but they cut to commercial or someone else, lol.

Wow, she's also a cutie, that girl.

It's sounded like it's to distribute TV shows over Live, maybe movies too.

I think it is more TV shows than movies. Besides with Steve Jobs on Disney's BOD it is unlikely they will get anything that great it was probably that MS gave the studios some money. I don't see many X360 users downloading Hannah Montana anytime soon.

EDIT: They have to give the users something for their paid x360 live service that doesn't work properly.

Update: G4 did mention it in their live coverage Monday night. Whoever they were interviewing basically declared that Blu-ray had won the war because of WB and for people on the fence either to hold off a little or buy a PS3 now. I think they also mentioned the WB decision in the scroll across the bottom of the screen.

I missed the first hour, but I just caught it on the replay, and they backed BD a lot more than I thought. (except Kevin, he's still a douche)

When he interviewed the tech editor or Newsweek or something, he (Kevin) was kidding about how it was raining hard on the HD-DVD coffin, to which the guy replied "it's raining very hard." The guy then went on to essentially tell people to just buy Blu-ray if you're interested because regardless of digital distribution or whatever, BD is going to exist in one way or another.

Pretty sweet.

They did, I saw this segment, not sure about the name but he was a 20 something black guy. I think he is a regular correspondent with the show but I may be wrong. They also had a note saying that Toshiba still plans to back hd dvd. Guess they can't see the rising water, or the gigantic Ice Berg. I thought Kevin was stupid for saying that he just goes on 360 hits a button and downloads HD movies. He said that you still have to go to a store to buy the actual disc. I have no idea what his point is, but I know almost all of us here want the actual disc. Screw M$ and their damn downloads, I bet they are compressed as all hell too.

So who is the clown hosting with the girl (sorry I'm not familiar with the hosts). Anyways, oh I just heard his name is Kevin and her name is Olivia. Anyways, he is such a M$ fanboy...everything coming out of his mouth is almost verbatim if he was a M$ employee.

Some guy called in and asked who did they think would win the hi def war...Olivia said since Warner/New Line went Blu that Blu ray is the winner. What did Kevin say...oh I don't want media, I would rather just download the content on xbox Live (what complete...nevermind). Olivia then called him out and asked why he hates Sony as they went to a comercial.

What a complete moron!

He has done a complete 180 in the last couple of years.

When the XBOX 360 launched back in late 2005, I remember him talking about how the PS3 would be superior, 1080p, Blu-Ray movies, etc.

So 2 years later, now he's a MS lapdog.

I guess his alliance is with the advertisers at the station.

And yes, he's a tool.

Coverage was a total joke just like i had suspected. Kevin is a Microsoft Monkey.

He'd rather download HD movie content to his 360. Yeah good luck with that.

I agree. It is pretty much a known fact that G4 is supported by MS. Don't expect any support or a nod to Blu.

Yeah, I've seen her do stuff like that to him before (put him in uncomfortable situations). A while back they had an MMA episode where she said that Kevin had told her that he thought he could take one of the fighters (and right in front of them too). He instantly got all red and said "I did no such thing!"

The MS leanings do bother me when I notice that Kevin defends MS a little too much sometimes (I have nothing against the 360 - but I expect unbiased reporting). When it's time to interview though, I find he asks the questions I want asked.

"Attack of the Show" is the only show on that station I watch. "Electric Playground" and "Reviews on the Run" as well - but I think they're only broadcast in Canada (which is too bad because I find their reporting to be the fairest).

We aren't going to have real journalists covering the video game world or making fair reviews, until mainstream journalists and reviewers come in and overtake the poorly setup infrastructure, if that ever happens. It's like our Epert and Roepers are owned by Warner Bros, what movies do you think they're going to recommend?
