Is Fellowship the only film in the trilogy with color problems?

When I bought the TE of FotR on Black Friday, my copy had a date of the present day in time line after the prologue.

I know one thing: I shouldn't have to adjust the coloring on my tv just for this movie and then readjust it back to normal.

Options of those professional reviewers usually have more weight behind them than just a random person on the forums, is because they've proven to usually have an eye and a knack at viewing films. In addition, these professional reviewers are usually very consistent with their observations, typically remaining unbiased and objectionable through the entire process.

Unlike the general masses, who can flip flop a position while talking about the same film, or between films simply because they like one more than the other.

The professional reviewers opinion isn't the end-all-be-all, it's just one that is usually highly trusted and respected based upon previous reviews, showing a trend (which is why i found it funny when people were saying wait until X reviews it, and then when X did and disagreed with what they were saying the turned on X.)

((Oh and the reason professional was italicized, I got yelled at early on, 100+ pages ago, for calling them professionals))

Your initial post said

"In addition, no one even saw these in the theater because they are the Extended Editions."

Which sounded like you were saying the Extended Versions had never been seen in the theater. Roy and I were just pointing out that along with the initial EE release on DVD, the EE were released in selected theaters. And they were done so recently with the updated master for the BD release.

An important thing, the 2 drawbacks - green tint and poor shadow detail/darkness are connected, single use of auto color in photoshop eliminates both of them.

This looks like the nail in the coffin to me:

Something is not right here. It's hard to imagine PJ or Lesnie saying "would you mind making the titles a bit green? Yeah, that'd be great!"

Robert Harris just posted that in his copy the title is Gold, not white, not green.
Which would lead to the source photo in Mark's (the quoted photo with the photoshop analysis) of being fake.

With all that has been said and shown. I'm convinced there is an error here.

From my understanding, they were never released in theatres until now. If so, my bad, that's just what I read online. But that just proves that everything you read or see on the Internet isn't always true... kinda like how all this is blown out of proportion.

And if the new prints have the same color grading as the blu-ray, then everyone's assessment of someone "messing" up the disc isn't true, either.

Haha, IF that's the case, that's hilarious. Gotta love the Internet and its factual sources of information.

Yeah, something isn't right here. When Harris' title is solid gold and several other people (some with discs) have a light green title, something is off somewhere in the chain.

I see I see, and I completely agree, and as I previously stated, I reread what Zoet wrote and I misinterpreted it. So that was completely my fault. I think a lot of the arguments were occurring b/c of miscommunication/misinterpretation like me...

Right, and the white title is The Fellowship of the Ring. This is how it's always been. I think Mr. Harris is a little confused over which title screen people say is green.

My point stands. It's hard to imagine PJ or Lesnie saying "could you make the white titles a bit gold? Yeah, that'd be great! Oh, but lets keep TTT and RotK white."

(I'm assuming RH is not referring to the gold "THE LORD OF THE RINGS" titles at the beginning, right?)
