I believe it is common knowledge that the old 60 gig PS3 (the fat one) does not play the Dolby Digital HD or DTS Master Audio HD lossless BluRay soundtracks. The fat PS3 will play the lossy soundtrack on the BluRay disc.

The new "slim" PS3 will play the lossless DD HD and DTS HD without any problem.
