New Major Character to be Introduced into Season 3

The people are 100% shallow. It was the worst panel I went to.

Now, I also don't watch the show and was just waiting for the Fringe panel.

You don't watch this show? Weird I always thought you did, I don't know we watch so many of the same shows I guess I was just thinking we watched ALL of the same shows.

Oh I know, I refuse to pay $45 for shows I love, let alone something I've never seen. But they also re-air the previous season each year all summer long, and once the season starts they still have mini-marathons.

Happy we are getting a new major character as he sounds interesting and most of the characters that get introduced in a season either leave or die. Plus with

Alaric is already a vampire hunter, except for the fact that he quickly made nice with his mortal enemies, and now works alongside them. Now that I think about it, Ric is a horrible slayer, lol.

Yeah it will be interesting to get a slayer this season who doesn't become friends with the one's he set out to kill. Hopefully we get some cool fights between Alaric and the new guy.

Nina Dobrev teases Elena, Alaric adventure on 'Vampire Diaries'

The 22-year-old revealed that her character Elena will bond with Alaric (Matt Davis) in the second episode of the CW series, disclosing that the two will embark on a trip together.

"Elena and Alaric go on a sweaty, rugged adventure together, and I have to cool off at one point," Dobrev told Entertainment Weekly. "We get to bond a little bit, and filming scenes with Matt Davis is great, because he's a really funny, light-hearted guy and there's a lot of comic relief."

Dobrev went on to open up about how the cast keeps cool while shooting in the Georgia heat.

"We try to set up tents with air conditioning, but it ends up being hotter inside the tent than it is outside," Dobrev said. "So what we do is we take ice packs and we put them on our wrist, or on our neck, or down our pants just to keep cool."

Vampire Diaries executive producer Kevin Williamson recently admitted that he would love to see Elena get together with Damon (Ian Somerhalder), though he insisted that such a scene has yet to be written.

Dobrev previously claimed that the "chemistry" of The Vampire Diaries has changed now that the Originals have made an appearance.

The Vampire Diaries returns for its third season on September 15 at 8pm on The CW.

Can't wait for the episode and sounds like it's going to be a fun one.

Yeah and so would the fans, cause I don't know about anybody else but I haven't liked Stefan since this series began. Damon is my favorite character on the show, at least he isn't an emo vamp.

While I do like Stefan I have always wanted Elena to end up with Damon since episode 1. Besides Eric from True Blood Damon would have to be my 2nd favorite vampire character from a book series or TV.

Very short season 3 clip but one the best Damon/Elena scenes

Watched a repeat. Gotta say, I could seriously get into this show. This is my genre. It reminds me of a mix between Buffy and Supernatural.

Also, Nina is a super fox. I noticed that at comic-con as well.

I'll head out to pick up season 1 tonight or tomorrow.

Damon has been my favorite character since I read the books when I was like ten, I think. He's the best character in the books and in the series.

Totally agree Damons my favorite VD character from both the show and the books. Ian was the perfect casting choice IMO.

Without a doubt. He was excellent in Lost as well imo. Well not really imo, he was.

When I first started seeing trailers for it before it ever premiered I thought it looked like Twilight the tv series. Then I watched the pilot and felt like my suspicions were definitely correct so I quit watching. After several months I kept hearing people here talking about how great it was, and how it didn't start out the best but quickly became pretty solid over the course of the first season. So I eventually went back and caught up and was very surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I definitely agree with you about it feeling like a mix between Buffy and Supernatural. Though I don't believe either show killed of main characters as often as Diaries does.
