While I really like Dracula, it is strange with some bizarre performances. I would recommend renting it first.

Scary movie is crappy in my opinion.

Casino Royale is an AWESOME movie, but I'm a huge James Bond fan.

Dracula is not my cup of tea.

There aren't any more BD's already released that I really want either. Maybe 4-5 I kinda sorta wouldn't mind adding to the collection. I'm just snapping up the new releases I want as they come out.

Hopefully with WB on board and soon the others I won't be able to keep up.

I wholeheartedly, recommend Casino Royale.

It's not like ANY James Bond movie you've ever seen. Much more on the realistic side.

Daniel Craig was fantastic in that role. I suggest you suspend for blindbuying policy for that title. THEN you can start not blindbuying.

Hmmm, exactly how "realistic" is that jumping around on the construction site at the beginning, leaping from crane to crane? If I was even on the arm of one of those cranes I'd be holding on for dear life, unable to move, let alone sailing through the air to another one.

Not critcising the film here. I liked the "low tech" aspects of it. If you like Bond movies (I do) this is a good one. However, I once met a woman in Russia who was trained as a spy and what she told me about is nothing like James Bond.

The construction site scene in Casino Royale is realistic compared to the crap that goes in in Moonraker and A View to a Kill. No one should ever have to witness Roger Moore snowboarding down a mountain with "California Girls" (a re-recorded version since they couldn't afford to use the original) playing in the background.

So true... I dont things could have gotten much worse with Moonraker.

Casino Royale is probably the best bond film to date. I love the "ball busting" torture scene.

Default Casino Royale DOES have numerous flaws!

Yes, I liked Casino Royal too. However, there are a few UNREALISTIC elements to the movie:

1 - In one of the opening scenes Bond chases a back-pack carrying ebony male through a construction site then into a consulate. After all that, and upon obtaining the back-pack, he shoots and kills the guy and escapes from the consulate.

2 - Bond has a serious fight at the casino during which he is bloodied up severely with cuts on his face and head. This happens during a one-hour recess from the black-hack table. Bond returns to the casino in mint condition - no scars - no blood - beautiful clean hair - and a perfect tux.

3 - Bond is poisoned and proceeds to have a heat attack and die. He is revived and again returns to the casino as if he just returned from a visit to a spa.

There are at least a half-dozen other unrealistic scenes in this movie that just don't add up (including, but not limited to the crushing of Bond's scrotum).

C'mon! This just doesn't happen in real life.

Unrealistic? - YES. Do we love it? YES! Recommended? YES!

FYI - the PQ and AQ is top notch!

I"m down to two current releases that I need:

Man on Fire
Sunshine

Otherwise, I'm waiting (impatiently) for announced BD's like
Master and Commander
Crimson Tide
No Country for Old Men
Run Lola Run
Almost Famous (Import)

and unannounced titles like
The Abyss
Alien and Aliens
Boogie Nights
Donnie Darko
Jackie Brown
Grindhouse
Leon: The Professional
Lord of the Rings
Magnolia
Pulp Fiction
Seven

Plus any goodies from Paramount (Godfather, There Will be Blood) and Universal, when they go Blu..

congrats on getting everything you want. I'm getting there myself, but I doubt I'll ever actually get there.

I highly reccomend Casino Royale though. I would definitely suggest getting out and renting it if you're against a blind buy (and I can understand why). It's a great Bond movie, and IMO a lot different from the usual Bond stuff. It's kind of refreshing.
