Just found this thread, I congratulate all of you with your awesome collections, although the people that have more than 2k movies I guess I don't understand it. I don't think I could even think of that many I would own even for free!

Having said that, I do hope to join the group by Black Friday

Likewise, I keep my Blus unopened until I'm ready to watch them just so I know which ones I haven't watched yet.

Btw, I love your av. I hope Princess Mononoke comes out on Blu soon. My favorite Miyazaki!

That really is amazing. I'm hoping I get to that point one day. I love being able to be able to always have something to watch, no matter who I am with!

The more you get, the harder it is to choose something to watch.

That's kinda how I felt with my dvds. You just have so many, its just a task to finally pick something you wanna watch.

Sometimes I would put in a disc, then a few seconds later i'll think of something out and take that one out and put that other one in.

that is why I have an "unwatched" section (shelf), all the BDs go there until I have seen them (for TV series that means all the episodes and box sets all the movies in the box)

I like opening them immediately just to make sure everything is OK.

With my birthday five days away I plan to be in this group soon! I'll upload pics once its official and also once I've added a third Atlantic Multimedia Elite Shelf. Starting to win over the wife and broaden her film views!

I have an unwatched shelf, but I keep all my blus sealed until I watch them. I buy a lot of used as well, so the unwatched shelf is necessary to help me search. I've really fallen behind in the past year and half since our baby was born. I have quite the backlog to catch up on. We've starting watching more recently again as the baby has gotten a bit older.

Closing fast...

Would someone please save me a seat at the table for the annual New Year's meeting? I should be qualified by then.

Thanks.

Well it took longer than I thought since my purchases have slowed down a bit (Yeah I know it is kind of sad when 100 Blu-Ray since May is my idea of slowing down) and I didn't hit it with a Criterion. But hit 1,500 yesterday and went past it but I am going to consider the Ben Hur Ultimate Collection #1,500 just because that makes a better #1,500 than Fast Five, Constantine, Hotel Rwanda or Hall Pass
