I know to release RZ Halloween's in August is something i'll never understand.
They didn't want the film to get its ass handed to it by SAW IV and its sequel, H2, by SAW VI.

Although Scream 4 did not do as well in the box office as the staff had hoped, I believe they will definitely film a fifth movie. The way the fourth one left off shouldn't be the way they end the entire series. I'm sure there will be a 5th and possibly a 6th. After six, they are done though lol.

I love how nearly everyone is saying Scream 5 will certainly happen, we just don't know how long it will take. Yet, ITE keeps saying it will for sure not happen. Your only reason is the box office results, which as already discussed, weren't that bad. I just don't know what it will take for him to admit that a Scream 5 will happen.

Probably a full length trailer...

Didn't Scream 4 earn quite a good take for an r rated movie?

Yes exactly. Which is why I don't know why ITE keeps saying Scream 5 won't ever happen cause of the box office numbers?

Also they dont only look at domestic takings anymore. Scream 4 done well worldwide. Also the weinsteins (sp)? have said they aren't worried about numbers and will do a 5th. Also scripts are written? And wes is keen.

I can't believe how bad Scream 4 tanked at the box office. It was sad because I actually went to see it at the theaters and enjoyed it.

Jesus... you say the same crap over and over. Don't you have anything else to say besides the box office numbers? I can not wait until a teaser trailer comes out for Scream 5 and you have to eat your own words.

For an R-Rated horror movie coming out in April, and also coming out the same day/week of much other bigger movies (like Rio), that is still pretty damn good. It's already been confirmed that Scream 5 is happening, all that needs to happen is for Kevin to come back and write a good script that Wes likes. So, stop saying it won't happen, cause it is.

38 million was a huge disaster. Can you not see what the other movies made?

Scream - Worldwide: $173,046,663
Scream 2- Worldwide: $172,363,301
Scream 3 - Worldwide: $161,834,276

This is without inflation...

How can anyone say Scream 4 was not a bomb?

you need to stop comparing it to the original 3.. they were a totally different era.. if they didnt wait so long to make scream 4 it would have made more money, a lot of "original" fans that grew up with scream hated scream 3 and pretty much lost faith.. We get it, you're a huge Scream 4 hater, but you dont need to keep going on and on about it, one post is more then enough.. I actually thought the movie was decent and pretty good for the standard bullshit horror movies taht are out these days.. i.e. Final destinations, saws, hostels..

I agree. Torture porn is so last year.
Scream is my favourite franchise. Always has been and always will.

How the heck does showing proof of a movie's failure with facts, make me a troll?
