A few people on here have mentioned their Amazon UK orders had switched to 'Dispatching soon' yesterday, as mine hadn't & had been upgraded to 'Expedited' delivery I emailed them, here's their responce:

Quote:
I have checked your order and can see that this item is on pre-order and will not be released until September 12, 2011. It's not possible to dispatch the item before the official release date.

However, we are unsure how other customer orders have entered dispatch process. Please note that the release date is subject to change. As soon as we are informed of any changes to this date, we will update the website accordingly.

We will receive this item from our suppliers in time for the release date.
curious.

Yeah, mine has said 'dispatching soon' since yesterday, but with an estimated dispatch date of 12/9...

You're not joking it's curious what they're saying, as i got my copy of 'Stand by Me' from them two days early, on free shipping...

I wonder if Indigo Starfish ship out before, but if it's Amazon they wait until release day

Indigo Starfish are in Jersey so they dispatch early, but that doesn't explain your Star Wars order.

I've noticed this before with them, I think they did the same with the Alien anthology. It's probably to lock in the order. Or maybe it's just the volume they have to pick.

In any case I doubt I'd get round to watching any of it Monday anyway, it shoudl really arrive on release day though.

They said fine just give them a call.
You sound so spoilt saying something like that. Good luck with that though. There is no way they'll give you a refund for it coming a day late. The release date is Monday. If you are so eager to get it, why not go to a shop and pick it up?

With such a big a release as this its the reason why I cancelled my order with HMV and will pick one up in person on Monday, all this checking of order status etc gives me a headache!!

This reminds me of last year with the release of the Alien Anthology and BTTF, I ordered and re-ordered from so many places trying to get them for the Saturday and I ended up with 3 copies of each and didn't watch the films for weeks lol

The lesson I learnt there was place a cheap pre-order and just wait for it too arrive, moving orders around in the hope you might get it a day earlier just isn't worth the hassle plus you will be really pissed off all weekend when the Saturday post arrives and your package isn't there.

I recieved Point Break today from Sainsburys which is same release date as Star Wars so maybe i shouldnt of been a miser and swapped Sainsburys for Tesco for a saving of £2.50 on my Star Wars order as it aint budging.

People on other forums receiving today from Tesco, and said order still shows as awaiting despatch.

Also saying being delivered by TNT, and not Royal Mail.

Really hope mine turns up today, but still be happy if it comes by Sat.

However in the year 2021 you will be £2.50 better off and those extra days long forgotten and meaningless.

And you will be waiting for the 8K-3D HVD version of Stars Wars where the emperor has been replaced with jar jar binks.

has your tesco status been updated?

has the money left your account?

I spoke to Tesco today and she said that the pre orders have been boxed and are waiting to be despatched via royal mail. Account will be debited as soon as they leave the warehouse.

Middlesex? That's in Scotland though, right?

Now that the pictures have started to come in I've started to feel 'cheap bastard remorse,' which I usually get when I tell myself not to buy something until it hits under £18 (I think this will hit mid/high twenty's considering it's six films)....

The wait will be long with this one....
