Madonna: Truth or Dare Blu-ray Review

Truth or Dare to be released on Blu-Ray – Exclusive

We have some exciting and exclusive info to share about Madonna’s Truth or Dare…

Back in February, Miramax announced they had struck a deal with Lionsgate and StudioCanal to distribute over 550 titles from their library on DVD and Blu-ray.

Miramax also owns the rights to Madonna’s 1991 Truth or Dare (aka In Bed with Madonna) and Lionsgate is planning to release a special edition Blu-Ray in January 2012.

All the footage has of course been remastered and the Blu-Ray should also contain some extra footage, which according to our source, sounds promising, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Note that this a tentative release date and subject to change.

Great news, i wish Blond Ambition (full Paris) would be released as well as Virgin Tour, Drowned World Tour (my fave) would make me a very happy Madonna fan...

All of the concert footage from Truth or Dare is from the same group of shows in Paris. Even though she says "Alright America" and whatknot throughout the show, that was all ADR. They were filmed (as were the Japanese shows, fyi, by none other than David Fincher).

Is that true did FINCHER film the concert footage? I always heard he was a first choice for dir. of the documentary but never knew about the concert footage used in Truth or Dare.

I have the old LaserDiscs of the tour from Japan and the one HBO aired live from Nice France. Japan featured the ponytail, Nice France HBO she did the blond curls.

yes, she got rid of the ponytail for the last leg of the tour. it was pulling out her hair.

That's what I'm saying. I don't know if they still have the rights to the film. I tried to email them but never got a response.

Miramax responded on their facebook page about when the announcement is coming: "Stay tuned!"

Let's hope it's within the next few months. With the perfume, W.E. and the new album, it would make sense (though not as much sense as the 20th anniversary but I digress).
