Default Nice findings this weekend

I was at a bridal Show with my step-daughter this weekend and we talked to a guy that does only videos for weddings and he will be offering Blu-Ray Weddings videos here later this year. He has the camera and recorder and is just looking at the available software to find one that he likes. So even the little guy is getting on board and knowing that Blu-Ray is the future.

That is good to see and I expect it to occur more-and-more, afterall, for memories you want forever, you'll want Blu-ray. Forum rules prevent me from linking to our own site but we also do a lot of custom disc work and it's just so much better to be able to put those 35mm stills or 8mm film transfers on 1920x1080 resolution.

What we've done for legacy media customers that aren't ready for HD yet is put the hi-res scans (typically between 2k and 4k resolution) in the DVD-ROM section so that they can make an HD disc (by HD I mean HiDef i.e. Blu-ray we've never done 'hd dvd') at some future time.

And that higher data rate really helps Blu-ray excel because for custom work you really don't want to filter or soften the original if at all possible.

My preference on that would be a HDD camcorder recorded in HD then transfered to BD via a PC drive, more cost effective and the discs are standard size

I produce videos for a Health Care group in AZ, and I already had one doctor asking me if we were going to start producing Blu Ray High Def versions
