Would it be possible to add the UPC to the Target Exclusive DigiBook 'The Sound of Music' edition?
The UPC field is limited to 12 digits which are shared with the first 12 from the regular release. The regular release full UPC is 02454367292080 and the Target Exclusive is 02454367292081 so it rejects for being more than 12 (and would be a duplicate of the regular edition limiting it to the first 12). Back cover scan of the Target edition ![]() And the back cover of the regular release (spoiler due to size). [Show spoiler]

It's still physically released by Cooking Vinyl though, so Cooking Vinyl still needs adding as a studio for the release page here to be correct. This can be clearly seen on the cover artwork. |

Why when I'm editing certain titles do I get the error message "A movie with that title, studio, etc. already exists in the database"? Of course it does. I'm just updating details. Isn't there any way to make it recognize edits as opposed to new titles? Cuz then I have to edit the title, and write a note next to it, which is usually ignored, and then the title is wrong, and I have to send another request to change the title back to what it should be... annoying and time-consuming.

I love everything about blu-ray.com and find the collection cast and crew search really useful in identifying possible space saver custom covers I can do.
However I notice that the stats are incomplete, even if the actor was a lead actor. For example I own "The Man Who Would be King" but it does not show up as a Sean Connery movie. Similarly "The Cannonball Run" does not show up as a Roger Moore movie. The case is even more glaring when you consider actors who were not leads. Such as Kate Mara. The collection search does not register movies such as "Ironclad", "Iron Man 2", "The Open Road", "127 Hours" or "We Are Marshall". Indeed it says that Kate Mara only has 4 movies on blu-ray which is strange since I own eight. |

Here's exactly what I was talking about:
I just tried to submit the re-release of 102 Dalmatians with different cover art. I tried to submit, it said duplicate entry. So, I added (PLEASE DELETE THIS) after the title and Re-release - duplicate entry not accepted in the notes next to the title field. The title was added as submitted. So I edited and changed PLEASE DELETE THIS to (PLEASE DELETE THIS - Re-Release not accepted by database). Then the entire entry disappeared. There has to be a simplified way to add re-releases to the database. There are so many double dips out there and it gets frustrating when you are trying to add so many titles to keep up with which ones are denied for this reason. |

For example the database still lists Kate Mara as only having 4 Blu-rays, which is quite blatently false. It also claims that Sean Connery did not star in "The Man Who Would Be King" which no doubt would come as a surprise to anyone who has seen the classic movie. |

According to Amazon.com/de, "Water for Elephants" is:
German (DTS 5.1), Turkish (Dolby Digital 5.1) and English (DTS-HD 5.1) with English, German and Turkish subtitles and Region Free. Also, this release is apparently available now and not in December as indicated here because I didn't have to preorder it just an hour ago. According to Amazon.com/de, "In a Better World" is: Danish (DTS-HD 5.1), German (DTS-HD 5.1) and English (DTS-HD 5.1) w/German subtitles. I tried to update this information the normal way but was unable to do so. |

I've updated dates.
According to one of our star reviewers the Amazon language specs tend to be somewhat inaccurate. For example DTS-HD is which? DTS-HD Master Audio, or DTS-HD HR? About updating, don't know why you wouldn't be able to update the specs this time but tell you what, when you get the discs in hand confirm what it has and submit it (if specs updating doesn't work then , just let me know and we'll add them) |

Please add these four certificates* that are used in Germany:
SPIO/JK geprüft SPIO/JK geprüft: keine schwere Jugendgefährdung SPIO/JK geprüft: strafrechtlich unbedenklich juristisch geprüft An example for SPIO/JK geprüft: keine schwere Jugendgefährdung would be this. juristisch geprüft is rather rare and reserved for editions where even a mere legal clearance by the SPIO (SPIO/JK geprüft) can not be obtained (because they refuse the "safe for consumption" stamp) or if it simply is not desired. A private, independent legal opinion is then instead sought. For whatever reason, the German "Black Edition" of Akmareul boatda (2010) (I Saw the Devil) is such a case (where the cover reads "Nach § 131 StGB strafrechtlich unbedenklich gem. juristischem Gutachten!", shortened down meaning as much as "juristisch geprüft", which again translates into "legally examined [and deemed legal]"). Thanks Sonnenwirthle *: They're not really ratings / audience guidelines / age recommendations, since they're solely given to protect the people producing and distributing the titles in question from legal prosecution (in German see here, in English here) I don't know, could it be comparable to the "Not rated" or "Unrated" labels in the US? (and are those official, like, CARA-issued or -approved? seems little likely, since they're basically "non-ratings", too). PS: Also, you really, badly (pretty please, with sugar on top) should modify the way you display titles: edition information ("Black Edition", "35th Anniversary Edition", "Criterion Collection" etc.) should be stored in separate fields and there should be an option (just an option, nothing mandatory for anyone) to show and sort by the original title including a variant with foreign characters where applicable (which would be Hangul in the case of the aforementioned Akmareul boatda release) , as well as manual sorting. |

Is there a way to make the database ignore punctuation when alphabetizing? For example, in the DVD database, the title *batteries not included is not under B (not sure where it went to in your alphabet). Another example, [REC] and [REC] 2 BD are listed at the very end of the Z listing when I rank by title.
