Default If Money Didn't Matter...

If money didn't matter, what would be your dream home theater? It has to be realistic (available to purchase and build today).

Which TV/Projector? Blu-Ray Player? Receiver/Amp? Speakers? Cables? Room? Seating? etc.

Here's what I would pick:

70" Sony XBR4 TV
Panasonic 30 Blu-ray Player
Onkyo 805 Receiver
7.1 Polk Audio Speakers with subwoofer
Premium Cable (not sure which kind)
Stadium seating, individual armchairs with cupholders
Black shades

Only 70"? Money unlimited my man Think big!

Build an addition onto the house to hold a 30-40ft diagonal screen. Stadium seating with quality overstuffed recliners. Sound system designed and built by THX. The best projector they make hooked up to a common height system with optional 35mm projection. Pioneer top of the line Elite blu-ray player

You have to put some limitations on it to be a worthwhile exercise

I suppose I put a "realistic" dream theater idea for myself.

I'd have an IMAX theater in my house. Of course I would have to add an addition bigger than my home.

The 55d is now better than the sc-1 as the sc-1 isn't 1080p

I'd quit my job, keep what I have and open a homebrew shop and a parrot sanctuary.

sorry, there is no 70inch XBR4, it is XBR3, it has very different and better techs features than other XBR TVs.

and the man said be realistic, since there is no 70inch XBR 4 thus you can't buy it.

That's not bad for a bathroom configuration.

Now that is dreaming big.
I'd drop the snack bar and replace it with a wet-bar with a cozy fireplace and smoking chairs, minus the smoking, (like found in some resort hotels). It would of course be outside the theater before you go in.

You are right though about Theo Kalomirakis. I'd have a hard time deciding what style and theme I'd want. One of my favorites is "The Nile," it would be like having a theme park/theater in one. Though I probably wouldn't choose such a drastic theme.
