Blu-ray add-on to the XBOX 360 will be a consolation prize for 360 users, specially for the ones who use their 360 for watching movies. For people who didn't buy a 360, or use their 360 just for games, they could care less about a blu-ray add-on. If MS has any kind of concern for their loyal customers, putting out a blu-ray player is the least they could do. For me, I have a PS3 and a 360 that RROD. I could care less whether there's a blu-ray add-on or not.

Im not here to support the ps3 ( although i do own one and think its great), im here because I support Blu Ray. There is a difference. Eventually a player will come out that outsells the ps3 as a primary blu ray player, thats just a fact. I dont think people will put the ps3 down because of that though.
I'm here to support Blu-ray and the player that help Blu-ray become a hit.

In this case, PS3.

Earlier in your post, you ask why should I care.

Well, let me tell you. I care because most of the stuff people say about ps3 are not TRUE.

Remember how we all felt back then people spread fuds or lies about Blu-ray disc?

It sucks.

I'll be honest and say I have no personal experience with the 360 add on drive. However, everything I've heard from people on the HD-DVD side of the fence has been bad. Issues with compatibility with combo discs and load times as well has a crappy PQ compared to standalones. I own a 360, and if I ever went HD-DVD, I'd rather buy an A3 than the 360 add-on drive, though I'd probably pony up for a 1080p one.

Didnt suck for me. I dont care what other people say. People will believe what they want to believe. But if you put the PS3 above all others, then you yourself are leading blu ray to failure, by saying it should be a ps3 thing and no other.

When did I say it should be a PS3 thing?

I never said that, you're the one not getting me here.

Blu-ray is a movie format, like DVD and VHS before it.

I support Blu-ray.

I support PS3.

Other then Blu-ray, what are you supporting? 360?

If 360 gets a Blu-ray add-on, that's mass adoption right there!

I get all that, it's just that I believe it can become mass adoption without the 360 add-on. But for 360 user, who wants to watch Blu-ray movie, that would be good for them.

I never said Blu-ray is a PS3 thing.
It's just that I'm here to defend both, and I love both. That's all there is to it.

OK, i guess we just both misunderstand each other. Im not saying a 360 add on would lead to mass adoption. Im just saying EVERYTHING helps. Better and cheaper players, add ons for systems, hell even the wii if it was capable. Anything to get Blu Ray out there and make it more dominant is important.

Yes, but you see.

You're fighting one war, while i'm fighting two.

You want Blu-ray to be a success, which is good, because I also want that.

But in gaming war, I want Ps3 to be a success as well.

I'm sorry for misunderstanding you earlier.

Truly, I am. I apoligize.

You all need to face front and realize what is above all

Blu become the one standard, the same way all consoles embraced DVD, it should be for Blu-Ray. Imagine a world where Blu-Ray unites all technologies: computers, video games consoles, video recorders, and camcorders. Sony has enough features in its consoles, enough games out and coming out, and a strong enough brand to fight off the 360 even with Blu-Ray on its side.

And if anything, if you love Blu-Ray, how could you turn down such a mighty ally? Sony, Disney, Panasonic, together they are strong enough..imagine how one sided this "War" would be with Apple and Microsoft on our side.

Signed it. ...although I don't know if I want a 360. Maybe if they add the Blu capability I would consider buying one over an other PS3 or a Blu player for an other room.

SO now all of the sudden people have forgotten that interweb petitions are complete and useless crap?
And for the record, to hell with the 360.
People need to buy a stand alone or buy a PS3.
Support our companies, not theirs.
They can put a blu drive in their next system, but until them they can rot.
Do not feed me useless drivel about "but it will help blu ray get spread around", blu is growing just well on its own and will grow more and more.

I'm with Ookie on this. MS was of the founders of the anti-blu-ray movement. Notice I didn't say pro-HD DVD, because they were not completely. They only created the Xbox add on to hurt the PS3 anyway. They were also helpful/instrumental in taking Paramount away from Blu fans. And let's face it, the PS3 is a way better solution anyway. No, anything that supports MS I'm against. If Xbox owners want blu, let 'em buy a standalone or a PS3. If they buy a PS3, maybe they'll stop constantly fanboy bashing it when it's a great system.

NO THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Lol well hey its the truth and the Xbox 360 is a perfect example. How many people suffered because of the ring of death? How many people suffered when Xbox 360 first came out and it had all of those viruses inside messing it up and overheating the Xbox 360? Have these happened to the PS3? No way

360 doesn't deserve a BD add-on. Go buy a PS3.
