The Shining goes on tonight in my house. I bought it from Amazon in June of last year and this will be the first time it gets played, I look forward to it.

I might have said that 10 years ago, but she's starting to show her age. I would say that she's probably the hottest Italian actress.

I don't think she deserves this rep of being ugly. In the making of The Shining documentary interview, she doesn't look that bad at all. It's just that her teeth resemble the teeth of a horse more than a human being. Other than that, there's nothing wrong with her. That make up that made her look like a zombie at the end of The Shining made her look way worse than she did.

I never said she was, you are quite correct though - she looked quite decent in the documentary. The fact that she was howling like a rabid banshee throughout the movie hardly helped her.

She is so freakin Fugly, that they didn't even put any make-up on her for the part of Olive Oil in the movie Popeye. I've seen better rear ends on a dog.

i read something about how Kubrick chose her because he knew she'd struggle, hence he could break her down emotionally and put her RIGHT in character?
