Although no dates are listed in the original Disney Press release. They've been released in roughly the same order.

So, it would seem a reasonable guess to say The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan will arrive in 2013, while The Jungle Book and 101 Dalmations will arrive in 2014, leaving only Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio to have Diamond Editions to replace the current releases.

Most likely yes. With them doing that on BatB, TLK most recently and now Lady and the Tramp I don't see them making a new layout.

Okay this may sound really dumb but why was this movie not done/shot in widescreen? Wasn't Cinemascope out by than?

Nope. CinemaScope came around in 1953 whereas Cinderella was 1950. Alice in Wonderland (1951) and Peter Pan (1953) also were filmed in the Academy ratio. It wasn't until Lady and the Tramp in 1956 that Disney finally started releasing their animated films in widescreen. I believe in the case of Lady, the decision was last-minute, and you can kind of tell when watching it. The action is often in the dead center of the frame with empty space in the sides. They didn't really utilize the new frame properly until Sleeping Beauty in 1959.

I've forgotten to comment on how atrociously the trailer uses the song "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes". Awful!!!

Especially considering the last two were released in non-diamond blu. Only reafirms the order or release.

Hope they put out these others too in that window:

Robin Hood
Mary Poppins
AristoCats

I've got a three year old that's going to need some new material...

Greece is getting cinderella in September, France and Germany in October. It depends on distribution and marketing choices.

101 Dalmatians and Pinocchio are not part of the Diamond line though. And aristocats is getting released in France and in Greece in September, Germany should get it sometime in summer.

Think he means in Greece--
Pinocchio was very much a Diamond release when it came out here, and 101D was always on the Platinum shortlist.

No, I don't mean in Greece. it's been dropped everywhere apparently (this info comes from Disney Germany). Plus, 101 Dalmatians is not a Diamond because (1) it's gonna be released very close to another diamond, effectively cancelling its diamond status and (2) because it will be branded as a Special Edition. We've had confirmation that it's gonna be released in these countries

Greece: August
France: September
Germany: October
Middle East: 2012

and Pinocchio is not in the Diamond line anymore because they wanted to keep it down to 10.

Guys when has there ever been different diamond edition lines for each country, that would be a little ridiculous, and for that matter, Pinocchio hasn't been released in diamond form, only in platinum, the diamond edition was scheduled for 2015ish i think.
