Play's went back to £14.99.

Why is the 7 disc set rated 15, is it because of content from the extras, like deleted scenes, ect?

Had an amazon voucher lying around so got it for £9.99, which is a bargain for 4 films and not really bothered about the extra discs, as the films are all i'm interested in seeing really lol.

Thank you kindly Sky_Captain. Guess I lucked out and got the 7-disc version then.

Cheers.

My copy just arrived today (I'm in the US). It breaks down to approximately $6.25 a movie. Not bad. Not bad at all.

I wonder how long the two separate versions in two separate listings will last? I guess the moral is to check carefully which one you're ordering!

I could be mistaken but I could have sworn there was only one listing when I ordered back in the first week of October.

I recall using the Blu-ray.com link and going through the user contributed photos, which are still attached the now 4 disc listing, doing an Amazon title search for it, as well as adding that Blu-ray.com listing to my ordered and then owned lists (which now corresponds to the 7 disc Amazon link).

Not sure if I'm wrong or if Amazon changed the 7 disc to 4 disc after and then added a separate one for the 7 disc edition.

I'm curious which case it may be.

Just another set of eyes here, but I think you're correct on both counts.

I got the 7-disc set, ordered on the last day of October at what is now the 4-disc price, and I'm pretty sure there was only one Quadrilogy page when I placed my order.

I got the 4-disc set. I followed the link here on BD.com and that's the one I got.

Has anyone received their set that has this wording but opened it and found the 4 disc version?

Though not common, there have been the occasional time when the content was changed but the packaging lagged behind.

yes, and by removing the extras discs, the boxset get a 12 rating so potentially bigger audience, and less manufacturing cost etc, so they killed 2 birds with 1 stone.

Fox is rather cheapskates now, "slimming" down their boxsets (e.g. Aliens boxset), along with region locking most of their releases, probably my least liked movie studio.

lucky I bought my boxsets over a year ago when both amazon & Play had it on sale at £17.99 (a slight mix up didn't cancel one in time), at that time no confusions, only 7 discs set available from both retailers.

So as mentioned before, looking under the box for the info can get confirmation, but it also seems looking at the Ratings logo:

rated 12 = 4 disc set,

rated 15 = 7 disc set.

I put the barcode of the 7 disc set which I haven't opened in to Amazon's site and it takes me to the 4 disc set. The barcode is 5039036042376.

Update: I couldn't take the suspense any longer: I have the 7 disc set.

Got mine from Play.Com when it was 9.99, arrived today and it's the 4 disc version. I'm gutted.
