Blu-rays you bought from Amazon that did NOT include slipcover - Blu-ray Forum

Some titles that are no longer shipped with slips (may vary). Some of the ones listed are titles that are quite old didn't make it on the list, but if they were somewhat recent/Disney, the should be listed below.

And YES, I know that Amazon ships from several different wearhouses, but this is list is just to show that theyre shipping w/o slips now, sure there's a chance you'll get the slip, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

whats the purpose of this thread?only 1st prints carry the slips unless other wise stated

Most copies of Machete include one, I checked Best Buy and every copy had one. I was just wondering if they recently started doing this.

This is correct as far as the first prints & they only make so many slips. When the slips run out I am sure amazon doesn't stop selling the Blu-ray's just like any other place.

You also cant gauge if you are going to get a slip or not from Amazon based on what other members have gotten. They ship titles from various warehouses depending on where you live and what's available in that area.

I agree, if it would turn into an organized list it could come in handy for sure

that's what i was thinking, because people were worried that Pulp Fiction wouldn't come with one. And it was just a warning to people that want a movie that ends up not coming with a slipcover.

Blackrider nailed it above. Unfortunately, and I'm not ragging on the thread, just stating the facts, it's pointless to list anything. If you live in CA and I live in FL and we both order the same movie, they will ship from different parts of the country. This happened with Summer Wars, a NE warehouse was shipping first print limited editions while west coast people got second run BDs.

Even though I agree with others that this thread is pointless because stock can change at any time and it varies from warehouse to warehouse, I'm happy to report that I got this slipcover this morning in Illinois. Mint condition too.

Got Pulp Fiction, Sucker Punch, The Town, Hall Pass, Unknown, Inception, Dark Knight, The A-Team during Black Friday and they all didn't come with slipcover

The best thing to do is check the Product Details on Amazon and how many discs it is. If it's only 1 disc (if there's supposed to be more than one) then you're most likely not going to get a slip, but there's still an extremely small chance you can if they have any left in stock. Movies like Pulp Fiction, it's a 50/50 chance. I remember last year people ordered Book of Eli when it said only 1 disc, some people got the combo and others didn't.

I got Mad Men S4 from Amazon without the slip as I expected

To be fair though, to expect to get some of those slips at this point from Amazon, especially Dark Knight and Inception, is unrealistic IMO. It's just been too long.

it's funny how many people don't want to spend 20 bucks on release week to ensure a slipcover, but get highly upset when they purchase the title a year later on sale for 10 bucks and don't get a slipcover anymore

that's exactly why sleeves are limited, nobody would pay more if the titles
came guaranteed with sleeves once they are on sale.
rule of thumb, the longer you wait, the lesser the chances!
you really can't blame amazon if you decide to purchase like a year later
