Yep it would seem so. Obviously the UK doesn't seem to matter much.

The extended cut is on the US blu-ray, but in the UK, it's on the DVD, which is lame.

Particularly when the deleted scenes are included on the Blu and not in HD! Oh well, I wanted these sets LONG before I was into Blu-Rays so I'm happy with them. Gonna pick up 4,5 and 6 this week after a lovely bonus this month, pricey but worth it to a big fan like me. The original audition tapes on the Chamber Ultimate Edition were brilliant

I like how you've used the DVD editions as placemats, as a sort of final "f*ck you!" to DVD.

How much did they set you back? I like your posters. Can't wait to get my DH2 limited edition mosaic poster framed and up!

They're actually cardboard cutouts, hard to see in the pic and yeah lol...although the boxsets are full of bloody DVDs anyway :P

The colour schemes look really lovely together.

I much prefer to focus on the light-hearted, and pleasant nature of Harry Potter, and thus the wonderful colours, as opposed to the darkness.

It makes me sad that people have bought these.

I mean, if you want them and enjoy them, that's cool.

But supporting these is just going to make Warner Bros. think it's okay to give the UK subpar products.

Most people who buy these are Harry Potter fans and really couldn't care less. The extended cuts aren't worth watching anyway and I'm not worried about a making of Doc in HD. There's no point sulking about it.

Whether or not the extended cuts are "worth watching" is irrelevant and entirely subjective anyway. The point is, though, that it should not be too much to ask that WB (or any other studio) deliver quality products internationally, instead of having one market gain substandard releases. If you're happy with them, that is great. It's just that the releases should have been better.

so why didnt you just get the standard edition set?

i was so close to ordering these but after finding out that it just includes ONE blu ray, well....what exactly is the point in getting them?

True but telling people they shouldn't be buying them is going a bit far. I'd imagine the majority of the target audience (Harry Potter fans) wouldn't really care.

I wanted the box set. It has everything, the Blu-Ray editions, the DVD versions, the new making of documentaries and the cool packaging.

Film in HD: Yes.
Extras: meh.

That's true. It's their prerogative to buy them, and if they're happy, then that's the important thing, I guess.

I personal find the Extended cuts of PS and COS to be vastly superior to the Theatrical cuts.

It's just laziness not to include them as Blu-Ray discs.

Plus they didn't include the PIP commentary for PS and COS, which the Americans also got.

And to add insult to injury, the Creating The World... documentary is chucked onto a DVD disc.

So much for being an "Ultimate" edition.
