If you're happy with them, that is great. It's just that the releases should have been better.
True but telling people they shouldn't be buying them is going a bit far. I'd imagine the majority of the target audience (Harry Potter fans) wouldn't really care.

That's true. It's their prerogative to buy them, and if they're happy, then that's the important thing, I guess.

I personal find the Extended cuts of PS and COS to be vastly superior to the Theatrical cuts.

It's just laziness not to include them as Blu-Ray discs.

Plus they didn't include the PIP commentary for PS and COS, which the Americans also got.

And to add insult to injury, the Creating The World... documentary is chucked onto a DVD disc.

So much for being an "Ultimate" edition.

I am a big Harry Potter fan (thou not die-hard fan) and was really looking forward for the ultimate editions but the moment I realized what's in store, I was utterly dissapointed. I finally settled down with the regular complete blu-ray set.

keep the darkness for the movies

Someone could post pictures of the digipack of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" or "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", please? I wonder how it looks.

If no one else does I'll put them up next Friday night (they're coming Monday but I won't be here)

As well as the audio is not HD. It's just a repackage of the original Blu-ray.

Which then begs the age old question as to why the UK should receive a somewhat disappointing release in comparison to other countries.

All this is terrible news! Has the Prisoner Of Azkaban UE been "butchered" as well?

The original BD does have HD audio though, it has an uncompressed PCM track which is just as good as any TrueHD or DTS-HD track.

I did not know this. However, it still does not have the TrueHD option that the US discs have.

Well the bluray.com reviews of the sound quality for all the originals are pretty good.
