I don't think its that bill doesn't need the money. I think its that he is true to his profession. He is loyal to the consumer. He doesn't want to advertize something that is failing.

I know how mad I would be if I read a ad in the bits went out and bought a HD DVD player and movies just to have to format fail 6 months later.

That makes Bill a stand up guy in my book.
