Use it like that for a week and see for any changes.I think this should be the reason for I.R.i.e your present settings should have been somewhere closer to dynamic mode,so once you reduce the settings it should solve your problem.
In my case i did get mild I.R during cold start.Once warmed up i did not seen any ir.And i did not break my tv using colour slides ! Now its almost 8 months old and my tv works daily for 6 to 8 hours at a stretch. And i do not get any I.R.
My custom settings are
contrast 64
brightness 6
sharpness 8
colour 33
picture mode : vivid
colour temp : normal
My tv is panasonic 50 inches,V20series(2D model).

From what I have read online, vivid is probably the worst setting to have it on. I would suggest setting it to custom or normal, your color setting looks about right, your contrast could be right, but ur brightness is way too low. Obviously each tv is different, but I'm surprised you can see anything out of the tv. My brightness is around 57 or 58, and let alone that's as low as it should. My contrast is about 81 or 82. Like I said though, every tv is different. Color temp is to your preference, but seems fine to me
