I did see that, but I only want the blu ray, hoping a nice $10 of the single disc. And HMV never got it back in stock.

Surprised you were able to get the SCOP to work since it was a stickered item.

FAQ's ABOUT SCOP

The product had a price tag on it does the SCOP apply?
No, the Scanning Code only applies to non-price ticketed items.

I hate this loophole. It really goes against the concept of SCOP and undermines the intent. Consider:

Customer sees an item being represented as $8.

Customer - in good faith - goes through the cash register scanning process assuming their card will be charged the appropriate $8.

Later they see that due to the retailers' negligence, they've been overcharged, in this example by a whopping 49%.

How is it ANY different whether the product was represented as $8 with a price tag, or $8 with a shelf tag?

For that matter how is it different if the retailer made representation of $8 in a flyer, or said by their sales person, or a TV commercial?

100% agree with you. If i had the time for it i'd call whoever comes up with this rule and ask them the question...the whole point is supposed to be to protect customers from getting overcharged and the way its setup there is no incentive whatsoever for a store to correct a price and they are likely to continue overcharging instead

You could easily spend more than he spends in a month in a couple hours at the bar. Blu-rays are hardly an expensive habit unless you're buying in an obsessive compulsive manner.

He's probably more well off than a lot of us, but I don't exactly think he's jetting aroung in a Bugatti.

I'm assuming it's probably to help prevent them from getting scammed. Otherwise you would have people removing stickers from one product and putting them on something else, and then asking for the SCOP.

I am thinking the same thing but thought it was inappropriate to ask. I love his posts with pics though

I enjoy is pictures-posts sometimes but I guess since he goes as far as posting a receipt picture, it's not that inappropriate to ask those questions.. Unless he is a major ''Shark'' fan and he cannot wait to see this flick I don't see the point to buy this movie for that price considering it's not a very good movie and it will probably drop price in the next couple of months....it's not the first title I saw from him where he pays 25$+ for some really below average movies.. I know the preference of movies is personal but still he is the one who post and show every movie he buys ... I guess we have the right to know in some way...I know I have 500+ blu-ray movies but I watch ALL of them, some I did not have the time to watch yet but I watch them all... besides the Steelbooks and Criterions I rarely buy a movie above 15$...

I'm just curious, Blu-Ray movies is one of my hobbies for sure and BTW I don't drink

Price tag switching is clearly illegal, and besides it's not really the issue.

The price charged by the fast auto-scanning method should be the price the seller has represented, whether by price tag, shelf tag, or any other means.

SCOP was a response to growing public and political heat that the evil computer systems were ripping people off. They were looking to avoid being legislated to use old methods or be regulated.

And to that point, SCOP was the reaction when their drive to eliminate price tags wasn't well received. By extension one should ask why they are even still using price tags?

You have to clear the cache from your BDLive from your PS3. I don't even bother with any BDLive requests anymore. Had the same issue with Aliens. Google it and there are a couple of ways to handle it.

THANK YOU!!!! i turned of my INTERNET 1st but it still didn't load. then i deleted the BD-LIVE FOLDER (on top of the VIDEO column in ps3)
and then TURN OFF BD-LIVE from the system setting and Voilą IT WORKS!

i was freaking out because i did Google this issue and a lot people from different forums seem to be stuck on it. I hope they find out this trick of deleting the cache folder. once again thank you so much
