Is The Resistance Over?

I remember just 2 months ago when I played Resistance online I would find matches within seconds and I always had a lot of fun.

Now I find myself waiting up to 5 min to find a match and when I do get a match it is usually against a clan. Needless to say, they pwn my team.

Now I dont wanna join a clan because I like to just relax when I play. I dont like to worry about doing good or not letting the team down. I just wanna have some fun. And I used to be able to do that.

I tried other FPS like Warhawk and Call of Duty 4 but I just couldn't get into those.

Am I condemned to wait for Resistance 2 before I start having fun online again?

Warhawk is not a FPS. Too bad you cant get into CoD4 bc I think its the best FPS out there on any system. You may want to try out UT3

I don't know, but I had some issues too. It was taking awhile to find a game and then when I did I was either kicked out or completely outclassed with some really talented players. Another thing that took some fun away was hackers...there were people standing in mid-air and I kept getting shot right after I respawned. Resistance 2 should at least bring the multiplayer experience back, but I do enjoy COD4.

I'd guess it is just the fact that so many similar games have come recently to draw people away (Warhawk, Call of Duty 4, The Orange Box, and Unreal Tournament 3).

I tried to get into this game online. I didn't get a PS3 until Nov. 07 though... Needless to say it didn't happen.

Keep trying. At first I couldn't either, but nowdays it usually works pretty well.

give UT3 a try. it is a timeless game, as it will always stay fresh with the user created content. every time you go online you will most likely play a new map you have never seen, or maybe end up playing in some cool, new gametype. and in a couple of months when Chaos UT, Jailbreak, and the Sniper Mods get worked out, there will be tons more people playing online then there is now. the sky is the limit with this game.

Resistance was the only game I had for my PS3 for months. Then I got Call of Duty 4. After playing Call of Duty 4 and then trying to play Resistance again I just couldn't get back into Resistance. I just love having to hit L1 to bring up the sites to fire accurately in COD4.

I don’t really have that problem with Resistance. Whenever I want to play online, I’m usually able to find a game rather quickly. The only problem I run into sometimes is trying to find a normal game without one-hit kills on a non-ranked match, so I always end up going into a ranked game.

what time are you trying to play?
I usually log on mon -thur between 7 and 9 pm , go to 'custom games' and find matches with tons of people no problem.

Just wait until Resistance 2, I mean 8 player co-op, TWO full missions AND 60 player online? Hellz yeah!

It's really too bad you couldn't get into COD4, the game has amazing replay value. Once you start moving up in class, you always want to get to the next level to unlock the next gun or challenge.

Well try Team Fortress 2 in the Orange box I always love a game of that. And the rest of the games in TOB are good aswell makeing it very good value.

Well I guess all the Chimera had to do was release COD4 to keep Sergeant Hale busy

Is that why I couldn't get on to the network yesterday? They shut down the server?

My only problem with RFOM is the server outtage. I'd be in the middle of the game and then suddenly I get kicked out. To add insult to virtual injury, when I log back in, the server said that because I quit in the middle of a ranked game I can't find a ranked match for x minutes!

But other than the server problems, RFOM online rules. How do I sprint when playing campaign though? I can't seem to do that.

i used to play rfom online all the time but then i started playing cod4 online then went back to resistance online it just wasnt the same. cod4 is way better. another thing on rfom u use like a hole clip to kill someone thats crazy!

This Really Sucks for people just getting PS3s, it doesn't look too good to them does it? A game almost everybody is always telling people to get with the PS3 has no online community left
