It's not normal. Anything shipped overseas should be sent via airmail. It doesn't take 2 weeks for an airplane to move from the UK to the US.

And I doubt this movie has gone back in the vault. I was at Best Buy the other day and they had about 5 copies on the shelf.

I caved in a got Fantasia 2000 for $10 used, I can just slip my old DVD copy into the case and no one will be the wiser.

when they say "it's gone in the vault", they don't mean they will pull all existing copies from stores. it means that they won't make any new Fantasias to sell.

it's standard for overseas shipping. importing itself is indeed slow, it's not that amazon.co.uk take their time with your order..
and i'm sure the whole process is more complicated than just the airplane ride. if you want it ultra fast, you can have it, but it has its cost.

I see. Well, the least they could've done is ship it with tracking. I hate having things shipped blindly to me.

It depends on the package and the service they use. I think Winnie the Pooh had tracking while the Looney Tunes collection (which was far more expensive) did not.

I get what you mean, but I've become accustomed to it (that doesn't mean i don't check the mailbox every day though )

I love ordering from the UK, it's a lot of time cheaper (even with some shipping) then a lot of the prices we get here in Canada plus it get's to my house in 5 to 7 days. Done it may times and the longest it took for one order was 10 days.

Thanks everyone for helping me out. All the Best Buys in my area have sold out completely so that was not an option. Luckily I found it on redtagmarket.com for only 36 dollars. This is cheaper than all the other places I've looked at. If you guys are still looking for a brand new copy of Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 combo pack I'd go with redtagmarket before they sell out.

If people would be nice and not bid like crazy, you can buy it for a pretty cheap price on Ebay since most sellers start their bids at 99 cents. So, if buyers wouldn't be greedy, we can buy this at 99 cents.

It seems that it's customs that usually holds up the delivery of a package. I know I've shipped a few things to the UK before and it took almost a month for it to be delivered. The post office that I mailed it from said it would take about 6-10 days, but because of customs it can be longer.

I bought an item from eBay (Fantasia's vinyl recording in fact ) and I had it in 5 days (from the US to Greece!!!! ). My packages from amazon arrive in 2-3 weeks (I choose the second shipping option). I guess it depends.

I just got a copy of this for $33 shipped in like new condition on ebay. So it is possible to get for under $35 on ebay. Oh, it came with the slip in mint condition too!

Try Suncoast. I believe their 4 disc sets were around $45, but with their current going out of business 40% markdown it's reasonably priced.
