Have you stopped to consider that you might be seeing the beginning of inflation due to your weaker dollar? Up to this point Americans have got off easy by not seeing a change in prices to reflect the real value of your currency.

You're contradicting yourself. If its the slow time of the year then prices should go down. Inflation is the product of growth not recession (which is what everybody says we're in although the numbers haven't shown).

Also prices rising from 19.99 to 22.99 would mean a 15% rise! Neither the dollar nor inflation indicators have changed that much in a year over year basis. Such inflation would be absolutely terrible
