It's what we get when man introduces animals to areas they don't exist. No animal more stupid than man!

I would love to hear how the 3D is .. was curious on this one. Is it native 3D does anyone know?

I'm not from Australia but we get a lot of Australia's news and they seem a real problem over there. They are wiping everything else out because they are poisonous and even Crocodiles die after eating 5-6 of these things and they are spreading like crazy. With that knowledge I wouldn't mind watching them being killed for a couple of hours, could be fun.

They were a problem mainly in Queensland, but have started to spread down into NSW over the past few years. Likewise, the funnel web spider has started showing it's ugly (and I mean UGLY) head in southern parts of QLD. I have seen more green tree frogs in the past few years however than I ever have, so it seems to me personally that the cane toad isn't as bad as it used to be.

Lol, not from Australia, but New Zealand? So if you do something great, like get nominated or win an Oscar, our news service will definately claim you as one of us. However, if you then go ahead and let the fame get to you and wind up throwing a telephone at somebody the news will have you back listed under; kiwi.

I know its shocking, best example of this was I heard on an Australian idol they had to sing an Australian song from an Aussie band and someone sang crowded house. Is it shocking they sang it at all or the judges approved it?

Got my copy from amazon.uk yesterday so watched it today. I'll... probably be never moving to Australia anytime soon.

3D was... not as good as I thought it'll be. Some shots have great depth but not a lot of those to really say this was worth blind buying. And yes, there were a lot of good afternoon shots.

I thought they'll at least show the toad putting its tongue out of screen... at least once... but no, nothing like that. I think the only real good "pop out" was when someone pointed a rifle out of the screen to kill a toad, in case someone was wondering about some kind of pop out in the movie. But no toads flying out of the screen or anything.

Gotta say... I wouldn't recommend eating anything while watching this. Some were just disturbing. But hey, if that's how they do it over there then who am I to judge.

It's not so shocking that they sang it, because with the way the media is most of us think they are Australian. I did until a few years back. The judges however, should have known better.

Thanks for the early review!
When you say:
3D was... not as good as I thought it'll be. Are you mostly looking for the 3D to have plenty of "Pop Out of the Screen" moments, or are you referring to the layers of 3D looking flat compared to Avatar or Hugo 3D for comparison's sake?

Nice to hear there are daytime toad shots.

These cane toads sound a lot like us (mankind). Invade an area and wipe everything out along the way.
Here's a link about the history of cane toads being introduced by man to the area.

I saw a doc on the cane toad not that long ago on one of the nature shows, not sure if it was this exact one. Was real crazy to see the groups they send out at night to capture them. People were filling bags up with them in a fairly short period of time (and they were being frozen to kill them). It would be very interesting to see this in 3d (prob a rental from me).

If anyone sees the 3D version, does it have a majority of day time scenes of the toads? Day time 3D I prefer, but have seen night time 3D work really well. It's just not as visually exciting since everything is dark and tinted blue.
