I can find very little info on this TV but it really got my attention.
Can you tell me some basics about it
Is it HDMI 1.3, 60 or 120hz, does it do 1080p/24, contrast ratio, etc.
How long have you had it?
Seems like a lot of people got a real good deal (around $2200) and a free blu-ray player with it; Amazon has it for $2400 I think.

Thanks

Arrow Just ordered...

Yeah I've reviewed these things every which way; I would have been better just buying the XBR4 and living with the border, though I really do dislike it (I have another Sony 42" with an annoying gray border that drives me nuts, and I dont want a repeat; call me picky but its my TV and it matters to me).

I went with the Samsung 50" (FP-T5084) against my better judgment , only because it was the best looking for the money (1,832.86 @ Amazon) leaving me more for next year when I buy a new Sony with a slimmer border; I would like to catch the Sony 08's on sale later this year.
I really just wanted a plasma without a large investment incase my kids kill it; if it lasts I may even get a better one.
If the panel has any of the annoying defects I read about, then I will be returning it anyway and going with a Panny plasma or Sony LCD.

I think the best overall TV I looked at (under 2500) was the Sony KDS-60A3000 (60", $1900 + tax at BB), if you dont mind rear projection and less vibrant/bright image and colors.

Thanks for the help everybody, I’ll post an update and let you know how it works out for me.
