Default Galápagos - any good?

For a nature documentary, How is Galapagos? I'm sick of waiting to rent it from netflix and i'm debating about buying it. I saw Relentless enemies and i thought it was ok. It showed the same things over and over again. Let me know guys thanks!

Default really good

Yeah it was fantastic! Great variety of footage on volcanoes, fish, iguanas, etc. Only problem I have with it is that its 1080i, not 1080p as written on box. But I still highly recommend.

One of the most beautiful nature Blu-rays out there--quite on par with Planet Earth. And quite informative, too.

Definitely one of the better nature documentaries. I rented it myself from Netflix and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Strangely, despite the fact this Doc is in 1080i, it actually looks better than Planet Earth. The dark scenes are less grainy and the overall image has a more dynamic look.

If you have or enjoyed Planet Earth then get this one ASAP. It is an awesome Documentary.

+1

The underwater scenes are simply amazing. Lots of stuff never seen on other documentaries, including Planet Earth.

Thumbs up

I saw it on Discovery over the weekend and was very impressed. I will be getting the BD pretty soon.

It is as good as Planet Earth. Don't let the 1080i issue worry you. The image quality is excellent.

I did a blind purchase and you couldn't wrestle it out of my collection.

Go for it!

It is not as good as Planet Earth, but it is probably my number 2 nature film on High Def right now. I know it was not shot in 1080p, but it still looks great and has commentary to go with it.
