It's polarizing filters im calling "mirrors" and they can be taken out and changed around. They are supposed too primarily boost the contrast so i don't think they will change the color much..leaving me back too the blue lcd strip plug/port.

I think you're probably right about it being the blue lcd strip, but I'm honestly not sure. You're doing a great job of showing and explaining what's going on, but it's really hard to picture exactly what's happening without being there to physically see it myself.

Maybe just take a few deep breaths, and slow your heart rate down, and really take your time double, or triple, or quadruple checking each link in the chain that could've caused the problem. I really do wish I could be of more help, and I'm willing to help you in any way I can.

I know that this is very secondary to the problems you're having now, but even with the weird colors, did you notice if the dust blobs are gone?

Yes that's very good advice. Checking each link carefully. Some residue from the white plastic lock is also evident..I had a hard time taking it all out. it might be that that is blocking the signal. .

Im sorry i'll try taking it easy (not my strong suite) Sorry for spamming your thread with all my problems. Have a good time.

Cheers.

You're always welcome in here anytime Tommy. To me, that's the main reason to be a part of this community, so we can all help each other by sharing our knowledge and experience, so we can all improve our HT enjoyment. Don't think anything of it. I'm here to help, if I can.

Please do me a big favor. Even though I know that you want to, please don't throw your projector across the room.

Cool if this can be done.

Quote:
Hi Tom,

Here how it works. We have two options for the exchange process.
please read below.

WHOLE UNIT EXCHANGE - Epson will ship you a replacement unit, freight prepaid.
You are responsible for returning the defective projector to Epson within five (5) working days of receipt of the replacement unit
(we will include return instructions and you can use the same packaging from the replacement unit to ship the original projector back to EPSON).
Please be ready to provide your credit card number to secure the cost of the replacement projector in the event that you fail to return the defective one (security deposit will not be reflected on your monthly statement).
Replacement units will be the same model or another model of equivalent features and may be new or refurbished to the Epson standard of quality. Replacement units assume the remaining warranty period of your original unit.

Exchanges must be done by phone for security purposes. Do not include credit card information in emails.
We accept: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA.

WHOLE UNIT RETURN FOR EXCHANGE – Epson will provide the instructions and cover the shipping for the defective product and once we received the unit we will ship you the replacement unit.
This option do not require credit card. This option may take about a week or so.

We only ship within US/Canada.

If you are overseas then the only thing I can think of is to contact your dealer or if you have friends or relatives here you can work with them with the process.

Regards,
Matt
Still haven't decided which of these two options to pick. Depends on how picky they are looking into the pj.

If you can't get that to work, couldn't you just take it to Epson Denmark and pay them to fix it?

I ended up with pretty much the exact same results as the other three times that I ran it. It really does sound great though.

Hey Al.

That's a cute and weird looking pic.

I think I might go watch a movie or two, if I can stay awake.

Tried too go in and fix that last screw. But one of the other screws totally locked the cabinet off and after much pulling and scraping i decided too leave it be and place it back the way it was.

Still the lose screw inside of the cabinet rattling might do some good after all. When they find that something is in there and decide too investigate and find the screw they may think it's that which have done all of the internal damage.

Im getting tired off working with the pj. If i get a replacement i'll never ever tinker with something like this again. Kinda like when i was playing around with computers and watercooling.

I really hope they fix your pj Tommy. You're heading to Spain tomorrow aren't you? Have a great trip!

I just got home from work about two hours ago, and I decided to finally hook up my living room setup. Since I got my projector setup in a dedicated room, the only thing that I've had in my living room is my 42" 1080p Panny plasma and a Panny BD player. The only computer that I have is a big old clunky tower in my living room, so when I'm on blu-ray.com, I'm always in my living room. I usually either have the tv on, or I listen to music on CDs in my BD player, or WAV files from my pc. For the last couple of months, I've listened to everything through the tv speakers , but tonight I hooked up my Sony AVR and my Polk front and center speakers, so now I have a 3.0 setup. It's not the greatest setup, but it's about a million times better than the tv speakers.

I hope to eventually replace my four Polk M10 surrounds with HTD level three dipoles that match my front and center speakers in my HT room, and I also plan to eventually replace my Boston Acoustics and Acoustic Audio 12" subs with either a pair of HSU's or SVS's, at which point I'll move the M10s and the old subs back to my living room and I'll have the exact same setup in here that I started with.

Pretty much how most people upgrade, some move the old things into a lesser room, some sale thier stuff.

I moved my Onkyo 805 into my bedroom, and now I have an Denon 789 sitting on a shelf. I may set that up as a two channel one day.
