We Own the Night: Review

Is this a suprise to anyone? Can anyone RECOMMEND this film?

I was personally very excited to pick up We Own the Night but this review has made me question the title of being Buy-worthy.

Anyone who has seen this please let me know.

I don't trust much about the reviews coming out of there these days.

It seems like if it doesn't have explosions or non-stop action, it cannot get 5-stars for audio.

Seems to me like "audio quality" should represent more than just how active the surrounds are, but based on Ken and Peter's reviews over the last 6 months you wouldn't think so.

i read a review for crank and running scared and they were both like 2.5 and i love those movies so i could care less about people reviewing movies..i already preordered this anyways

i dont care what they say over there, i never saw the movie but it looks great. i heard great things about it too. Def a blind buy for me.

This movie as a good cast and sounded good. I have orderd this blind. Mines was shipped to me in the UK on the 8th from Movietyme, Looking forward to seeing it once it arrives. I also pre-orderd my 30 Days of Night from Movietyme and this was dispatched to me yesterday.

i saw it and thought it was an alright movie, it has some good action and a good story....i would give it a shot on blu-ray

I think the movie is actually good. The overall soundtrack of the movie is great as well, if you like that era.

I wasn't too impressed with this movie. I was expecting something much better with the casting they had.

I don't go see movies in the theater anymore. The film looks good to me so im on my way to Best Buy to pick it up.

Its a great movie. I really liked it. Not the action I was expecting but still a good movie.

saw it in competition in Cannes last year. It's ok...average movie of the 70's

only a scene stands to be remembered, a car chase under the rain...the script it's too conventional if you've seen many movies like me...

I was eagerly anticipating this movie after having seen the preview. Despite having a great cast, I thought We Own the Night was pretty dull and predictable. There certainly were a few exciting scenes, and the acting was believable...but i thought the writing was pretty boring and cliché. I would say it's worth a rent, but definitely NOT a purchase.
