So...would I need to have seen the first one to understand what this one's about? I guess I could always Netflix it.

Never seen any Appleseed stuff, but I have this one on preorder. One, to support Blu anime. Two because I hear its decent enough.

The first one is excellent! You should rent or buy the first one to check it out. Great story...lots of action...great CGI.

Might be a good idea, it looks like it (ex machina) has characters from the first movie. Great stuff! Anyone know if "Appleseed" is coming to blu-ray?

Since Geneon is pretty much defunct, not until their license expires (years) or someone buys it out from under them (more likely)
