I just thought of something . . . we can post factual, proven arguments.

We CAN'T insult individuals.

But at what point does someone's idiocy actually BECOME fact

*Bose* is for you're therapist's office. Shit at 200$ an hour why not waste a 1000+$ just to let the patience know there $$$ is being spent as a status symbol. BOSE=MONSTER CABLES

I've read it, and I am saying that he shouldn't buy Bose ever, not the speakers, not the amp. He can get a much much better system for that kind of money maybe even less.

Now, if he really wants to buy Bose he should just get the speakers and the sub and buy an Onkyo to fully take advantage of blu-ray and loseless sound.

Here are 2 good Onkyo receivers at 2 different price price points:
http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-SR805...3193465&sr=1-1

http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-SR605...3193518&sr=1-1

If you want to do some reading about Bose:
http://www.intellexual.net/bose.html

For speakers I suggest he do a search for "speakers" on this forum

Quality over quantity. If you're satisfied with what you have, fine, but we're offering the guy advice and you started acting crazy.

No highs, no lows, must be Bose.

For what you're paying for that Lifestyle 18 system, you could get something much better, for less money. You might as well go with something that is worth what you're paying for.

guys, lets not turn this into a BOSE bashing event.

Do your best to inform the OP of BOSE economics...but no need to offend anyone in the process.

I second that for either system. Both will sound better and cost less than the bose system.
