He said PS3. And, they are in HD. It must've been a PS2 PAL game while the Hong Kong one doesn't do PAL but does NTSC?

Not sure, but I think that's the case here.

Actually, if you remember... DVDs were originally supposed to be region free but it was Disney who started the clamp-down and may well this time as well.

Default Most Up To Date list of Region Free discs?

Hi Guys

What's the most up to date list of Region Free discs? (I want to play Region A in a Region B BD-10!) ... I know of lindsite which is good, any others?

I can't remember which studio released it but... will Rocky play in region B? I have a funny feeling it's Fox...

Some are some arn't.

I don't know where you are from but you may not be able to get anything but a time out from that link. I can't get to the link from Australia, I have tried 3 different consumer ISP's, from work (a large tier 1 international IT company) and from numerous computers.

Thanks for that! I managed to get access to that link no problem. I'm from Ireland so I gather I'm "Region B".

Looking forward to release of the PS3 in March!

What firmware version are you using. To my knowledge, all Fox titles are regional coded.

As was mentioned, the original firmware for the Samsung has no regional coding in it. So if you haven't updated the firmware, then you may be reaping the benefits of that. Another thing people are doing, is applying the US firmware to their EU Samung. That will allow you to play Region A (but no longer Region B).

Default Blue Ray region A (USA), Region B(EU)

I am planing on purchasing "Black Hawk Down" and "Stealth" Blue Ray movies from Amazon. I believe they will be Region A, since I am in Australia and will be getting a Region B player on Friday 23rd,I want to make sure the movies will work on the Region B PS3.

I recently bought "Kung Fu Hustle" Region B from a local retailer. On the back of the disk cover i had a simbol for Region A,B and C. If the movies "Black Hawk Down" and "Stealth" have the simbol for Region A,B and C then it would confirm it will play.

Could some one confirm if the movies that i buy from the US amazon site will work on Australian Region B PS3.

Thanks

If you wait until Friday I will tell you, as I have the disc here waiting to try it out (I have it and species to one side as although they are supposed to work they are clearly marked region A. Total Recall has the DVD region 1 symbol (all the Lionsgate i have seem to be the same). Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy does have A,B & C marked on them. This is not rumour or hear say, but what I have just physically rechecked a few seconds ago. I have 17 titles to test (only 4 bought in Aus) another 8 are on their way. I would suggest getting one title from your local Blu-ray store now if you want to try one out, as I suspect by Sat there aren't going to be many left for sale.

N.B. make sure you are in the queue BEHIND me.

Anyone else from Aus going to be lining up at midnight Thursday night?
